THE POSITION
Tri-City is now actively recruiting for a Clinical Supervisor I or II for the School Based Services Program within the Child & Family Clinic. The Clinical Supervisor I/II position will report to the Clinical Program Manager and will supervise Clinical Therapists.
This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Collaborate with Program Manager to provide appropriate staff placement based on the clinical needs of the patients and ensure delivery of quality patient care; monitor, maintain, and adjust staffing levels according to unit productivity and staffing goals; participate in data collection for unit based on quality assurance indicators
- Provide guidance to subordinates on Agency philosophy, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures through casework conferences, staff meetings, and work review; assist and participate in the development and coordination of in-service training and staff development programs.
- Coordinate, supervise, and direct the clinical, operational and program activities, inclusive of unit personnel, on a day-to-day basis to meet unit objectives.
- Provide direct services to clients under appropriate scope of practice.
- Make or review decisions on difficult client assessment and casework matters; supervise the timely and accurate submission of activity logs of assigned staff; and review caseload and task/needs reports for accuracy and timely changes.
- Analyze existing caseloads and forecast resource needs.
Ideal Candidate
QUALIFICATIONS
Clinical Supervisor I: Two years of post-license professional experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting providing direct client services which must have included: client assessment and evaluation, development and implementation of appropriate treatment plans, providing psychotherapy or behavioral health counseling, and providing indirect services involving information, consultation, and educational services to staff and community. At least two years of supervisory experience in a mental health/co-occurring disorders setting preferred.
Clinical Supervisor II: At least four years of experience as a Clinical Supervisor I or the equivalent managerial/supervisory experience in a mental health/co-occurring disorders setting including experience in a responsible management capacity.
LICENSURE: Possession of a valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Science Examiners or Licensed Clinical Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology.
Candidates recruited from out-of-state must possess an out-of-state license to practice in one of the above stated options. Individuals hired under this option shall obtain their license to practice issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences within three years of date of hire. During the interim three years, the incumbent shall be eligible for a Mental Health Professional Licensing Waiver Request approved by the State of California Health and Human Services Agency.
Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record and current, valid automobile insurance.

The incumbents will possess the most desirable combination of education, training, skills, and experience, as demonstrated in their past and current employment history. Candidates may be hired above the minimum salary range depending on qualifications (DOQ).

Life Insurance: Paid at one times annual salary, paid by Tri-City MHA with additional optional coverage available.
