Tri-City is currently hiring to fill one full time vacancy for an Office Specialist within our Access to Care ("ATC") Team. The Office Assistant positions are for experienced clerical staff who will provide a variety of clerical and administrative program support duties within a behavioral health clinical setting for the ATC Team, but will primarily assist with the ATCs registration process. This position will be responsible for a high volume of data entry and electronic health record entries. This position will report to a Clinical Supervisor.
This position will perform the following essential duties, including, but not limited to:
- Performs technical and procedural work in support for an assigned department, division, or program; applies technical procedures, methods, and techniques to support program and functions and processes; monitors and explains operational and program requirements and processes to various stakeholders.
- Provides information to the public or Authority Staff that requires the use of independent judgment, compliance with laws and interpretation of policies, rules and procedures.
- Greets and provides general information to clients, visitors, vendors, and staff, in person and on the telephone, in a professional manner; schedules appointments and meetings and maintains calendars; assists clients by referring them to applicable sources of information; distributes applications and forms and explains how to complete them; answers requests for information by consulting various available sources.
- Verifies and reviews calculations, forms, data, and reports for accuracy, completeness, and conformance with established Authority regulations and procedures.
- Types, formats, edits, revises, proofreads, tracks, and prints a variety of narrative, statistical, and technical documents, reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and other documents and materials.
- Inputs, updates, tracks, and extracts information into appropriate databases and billing systems; searches records and files for data.
Ideal Candidate
Education and Experience
Education:
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade.
Experience:
- Three (3) years of increasingly responsible clerical and administrative support experience
Preferred candidates will be bilingual in Spanish, but it is not required.
Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, abilities and skills may be considered as qualifying. *Candidates may be hired above the minimum salary range depending on qualifications (DOQ).
Benefits
FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS:
Sign-on Bonuses: $2500 for eligible positions.
Merit Salary Increases: Annually based on performance, budget availability and supervisor approval.
CalPERS Pension: 2% @ 55 for Classic Members and 2% @ 62 for PEPRA Members; employee contributes 7% for Classic and 7.75% for PEPRA. No Social Security.
Vacation: 80 hours per year, increasing with years of service with a maximum of 240 hours; cash out option available.
Sick Leave: Full-Time employees = 88 hours per year with no cap.
Holidays: 11 paid holidays per calendar year plus an additional 16 hours of Floating Holidays.
Longevity Pay: $2500 at 5 years of service; $5000 at 10-35 milestone years of service.
REVISED! Flexible Work Schedule: 9/80, 4/10 and/or intermittent teleworking, where applicable and approved by supervisor. **
Health Insurance: Medical (Kaiser HMO), dental (MetLife PPO) and vision coverage (EyeMed) of which 80% is paid by Tri-City Mental Health Authority (TCMHA).
Life Insurance: Paid at one time annual salary, paid by Tri-City MHA with additional optional coverage available.
Deferred Compensation (457b): Available to interested employees; no employer match.
