Description
The Town seeks to appoint a Danville resident to serve as a representative on the:
CONTRA COSTA TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (CCTA) - CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE
STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES:
1. Review the effectiveness of the Transportation Management Programs (Growth; Congestion; TDM) and make recommendations to the Authority;
2. Review the Transportation Strategic Plans and make recommendations to the Authority for their improvement;
3. Review the Public Information Program, make recommendations to the Authority and participate in its implementation;
4. Retain and continue the original consensus which initiated the attempt to find solutions to transportation problems;
5. Establish subcommittee focus groups as needed to address Authority concerns;
6. Maintain broad based public interest and input to assure program continuity;
7. Broaden the base of public input:
a. Identify and recruit new interest groups concerned with transportation problems,
b. Identify future leaders and utilize them on focus groups
8. Expand efforts to insure broad participation in the formulation of any future ballot measure; and
9. Review and make recommendations on updating the annual compliance checklist; continue to review submitted checklists with specific recommendations to the Authority.
Meeting Time and Location
The Citizens Advisory Committee meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month, at 6:00 p.m., at the Contra Costa Transportation Authority, 2999 Oak Road, Suite 110 (Board Room), Walnut Creek, CA 94597.
