The Office Assistant II performs general clerical duties related to filing, reception, form processing, record maintenance, mail, typing or data entry; obtains and compares information related to department records, programs, and services; and performs related work as required at the Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency. Specific duties include collecting, sorting, scanning, posting, delivering and picking up mail, correspondence, and documents for all divisions of the agency, driving a van approximately 100 miles per day on a planned courier route within a specific time schedule. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

JOB DUTIES

• Performs routine clerical work as required, which may include copying and filing documents, indexing, processing daily in-coming and out-going mail, faxing information, assembling materials, etc.
• Answers the telephone; provides information and assistance to callers or routes calls to appropriate staff person; takes messages as necessary. Greets and assists office visitors.
• Compiles information and data as requested for use in reports and management decision-making.
• Enters a variety of departmental data into computer; retrieves data as necessary; operates printer and other peripheral equipment as needed.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for an individual to fill the position of Psychiatric Technician I/II whom will provide medication support services both in the field and at the office. This particular position is located within the Children & Family Services Clinic and will report to the Medication Support Team Manager & the Medication Support Services Supervisor. The Psychiatric Technician I/II will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community by providing all manner of adjunctive medication support services.

Psychiatric Technician I: This is the entry-level classification in the Psychiatric Technician series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn and perform routine medication monitoring, administration, and support, while learning Authority policies and procedures. 

Psychiatric Technician II: This is the journey-level classification in the Psychiatric Technician series. Positions at this level are distinguished from the Psychiatric Technician I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, working independently, and exercising judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Under the direction of clinical staff, provides medication management services to a caseload of clients in the office and in the field; ensures the proper acquisition and administration of medication.

• Provides education and training to clients, their families, and/or staff on the proper care and use of medications, including symptoms of, reactions to, or side effects of, specific medications; informs clients of the impact of abuse and/or misuse of medications.

• Conducts home/field visits to evaluate client’s physical environment and behavior such as anxiety, withdrawals, and behavioral health progression/regression.

• Takes and records measures of clients’ vital signs, physical condition, and behaviors; assists and observes clients self-dispense medication as prescribed by a psychiatrist and administers scheduled injections.

• Conducts medication checks on clients to assess their overall medication management capabilities; takes appropriate action if client poses danger with respect to the use or abuse of medication; observes, evaluates, records, and reports to professional staff changes in client’s condition.

• Motivates clients to develop self-reliance in daily living; encourages clients to participate in group and/or individual therapy/program activities.

The Behavioral Health Clinician I/II performs a variety of professional duties in the provision of outpatient and crisis behavioral health services to individuals and groups. This person will work with complex casework which may include clinics, criminal justice, adult services, youth and family services, and other mental health settings where they may be asked to  respond to crisis situations, work with case managers and psychiatrists in treatment teams and be familiar with various treatment modalities to ensure clients are in appropriate treatment services. The position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

JOB DUTIES

• Provides individual, group, and family counseling on a variety of mental health problems and substance use disorders; develops treatment plans; provides follow-up counseling and assists patients with the resolution of problems.
• Observes patients on-site at schools, etc., as necessary; conducts home visits as necessary. Participates in outreach activities, providing information to the community regarding prevention, intervention, and education.
• Provides psychotherapy to children and adult clients or their relatives through individual or group therapy methods.
• Receives referrals from the courts or other individuals or organizations regarding individuals requiring treatment services; develops and implements treatment programs.

The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department is currently accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for the classification of Correctional Officer.  Under continuing supervision incumbents perform a wide variety of support in two areas: corrections, in which incumbents ensure the security, safety and care of individuals in custody; and bailiff, in which incumbents ensure the safety and security of the courts and their personnel during court proceedings; and perform related work as assigned. Incumbents may be assigned to either County Jail security or Court security. 

About the Sheriff’s Department :

The Yuba County Sheriff's Department is responsible for the administration of the Yuba County Jail and Jail staff. The Mission of the Yuba County Jail is to provide safe, efficient, humane and secure custody of all persons incarcerated. The county prisoner population is made up of those who are sentenced to county jail, those serving state prison sentences in the county jail under AB109, and those who are pre-trial and who have not yet been sentenced. The jail provides a necessary link in the criminal justice system. There are numerous programs operating within the facility including medical, kitchen, exercise, commissary, visiting, law library, inmate education, work programs, work furlough program, and inmate classification.

This position performs a variety of work in the monitoring of county, state and federal detainees and maintains the security and safety of inmates and staff.

• Performs booking procedures, including receiving, booking and assigning prisoners to cells; performing body searches; fingerprinting, and photographing prisoners, etc.
• Maintains custody of prisoners’ private property.

About the Position:

The County of Yuba is currently accepting applications for Building Inspector I/II/III in the Building Department of the Community Development & Services Agency. This is a multi-level class series in which incumbents may be assigned to any one of the three levels depending on organizational needs, professional experience, individual expertise and skill, proficiency gained and complexity of assignments. The Building Inspector series is flexibly staffed through level III.

Building Inspector I – Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn structural, framing, plumbing, electrical, energy consumption, disability access, zoning, and related codes and inspection techniques. As experience is gained, inspections become more complex and are performed under more general supervision. This is the entry level in the building inspection series.   

Building Inspector II – Under limited supervision, this is the journey level in this class series, fully qualified to independently perform diverse inspections. This is the journey level in the building inspection series.  

Building Inspector III – is the advanced journey/lead level in this class series. Incumbents at this level receive general supervision as new or unusual situations arise. As employees progress through these levels, they will be assigned more complex, difficult and/or contentious inspections.

Building Inspector I:

• Perform basic principles and practices of the Building Department for inspections, investigations, code interpretation, permit application intake, review and permit issuance, including record keeping and case management.  Also learns zoning, land use, fire-safe and water quality related regulations.
• Inspect new and existing residential properties, and other building and construction elements for conformance to codes, regulations, plans, specifications and standards related to foundations, framing, electrical, plumbing and other structural and functional elements.
• Maintain professional development and continuing education activities, study for and pass certification exams to maintain certification requirements.

Building Inspector II:

• Learn inspection practices and procedures for non-residential commercial and industrial projects, new and existing.
• Perform inspections of new and existing buildings, building and construction elements and structures with limited supervision.
• Investigate complaints regarding existing buildings or new construction to determine if code violations or problem conditions exist; resolve problems or refer them to the supervisor for resolution.

Building Inspector III:

• Provide lead direction, training and work review to professional and technical staff; organize and assign work, set priorities and follow-up to ensure coordination and completion of assigned work; provide input into performance evaluations.
• Perform plan reviews and field inspections of a complex and difficult nature; respond to highly sensitive, complex, or technical complaints; make on-site visits to validate the nature of the complaint and recommend solutions.
• Independently perform full range of Building Inspection duties including conducting and documenting multiple inspections; maintain accurate and separate records for each inspection.

This position will perform a variety of responsible law enforcement and crime prevention work, including patrolling assigned areas, answering calls and complaints, investigating crimes, serving civil papers, and providing court room security; enforce all federal and state laws and local ordinances related to public safety and welfare.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Performs routine patrol duties, including but not limited to patrolling assigned areas of the County; responding to emergency calls and/or public calls for assistance; investigating disturbances, prowlers, burglaries, thefts, vehicle accidents and other crimes; checking buildings for physical security, etc.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for an individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I/II for the Adult Full-Service Partnership (FSP). The Clinical Therapist I/II will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community with moderate to severe behavioral health clients. The Clinical Therapist will report to a Clinical Supervisor.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high-acuity clients.

• Within the scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.

• Initiates and conducts individual, group, and family counseling and biopsychosocial therapy sessions utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities; provides case management services in the office and in the field.

• Performs routine and emergency intake evaluations according to Authority procedure;
  completes appropriate forms and documents relating to the intake process; and prepares medical and demographic case history for use in diagnosis.

• Assists clients and family members in understanding behavioral health diagnosis, contributing factors/causes, effects, prognosis, rehabilitation, and treatment.

• Works with clients to address stressors and barriers to treatment and/or social functioning; identifies and focuses on client strengths and personal resources to effectively engage and treat client.

The County of Yuba is actively recruiting to fill current vacancies and establish an employment list for the position of Public Safety Dispatcher within the Sheriff’s Department.  The incumbent receives 9-1-1 system sheriff, fire, medical emergency and rescue calls; dispatches sheriff, fire and medical personnel following established procedures; maintains communication with officers in the field to ensure safety and provide back-up and information; provides relief coverage for the records unit; and performs related work as assigned. These classifications require shift work and the ability to make decisions and act appropriately in stressful situations. The work also involves interdepartmental cooperation with various public safety agencies located throughout the County to coordinate the most effective response to requests for assistance from the public.
