The Novato Sanitary District is seeking a highly motivated, and goal-driven individual to join our Collection System team as a Collection System Worker (CSW). The District will hire at the level of CSW I or CSW II depending on skills, certifications and licenses held by candidates in the pool of qualified applicants. 

The CSW performs a wide variety of tasks associated with the maintenance of wastewater collection and reclamation systems, including inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs on lines, pump stations, and treatment facilities. The successful CSW I candidate will possess experience in general maintenance tasks, including the safe and effective operation of a variety of hand and power tools and equipment. Possession of a commercial driver's license is highly desirable. Experience working with sewer cleaning trucks and equipment is also a plus. The successful CSW II candidate will have three or more years of experience in collection system maintenance. Experience in pump station maintenance is highly desirable.

Under general supervision, the Senior Planner performs a variety of professional planning responsibilities and tasks associated with the coordination and implementation of highly complex planning projects; performs a variety of duties relating to the collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of technical land use, environmental, zoning, and other City planning data; and performs other duties as required.

The North Tahoe Fire Protection District is currently accepting applications for current and future job openings from qualified individuals to serve in the role of Defensible Space Inspector. These are seasonal grant-funded positions assigned to a 40-hour work week. The Position

The City of Fremont is seeking applicants to fill full-time, temporary positions within the Fremont Urban Forestry Service Corps. These positions are paid and have a five-month duration, starting February 3, 2025, and ending June 27, 2025. Position Duties

The San José Public Library System is looking to fill vacancies throughout our various locations for this entry-level classification.

Library Aides selected for specific locations are scheduled to work approximately 12 hours per week, on a year-round regular basis. The days and hours assigned will vary depending on which location you are assigned to and the scheduling needs of that branch/unit. Most Library Aides will be required to work some evenings and weekends.

The main responsibility of a Library Aide is to file materials on the shelves quickly and accurately and to keep shelves in order so that customers can locate items easily. Library Aides also assist with unpacking, sorting and delivery of library materials; clearing tables and other areas of material and straightening seating areas; setting up displays; opening and closing the facility; emptying book return drop boxes; and other similar duties as assigned.

These positions require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials and objects up to 25 pounds, or heavier weights, in all cases with the use of proper equipment; packing, unpacking and transporting shipment boxes; reaching, bending, and stooping to put materials on low and high shelves; actively moving for up to four hours at a time, retrieving items from deep bins, and standing for periods of time.

Please Note – Candidates interested this position must be available to work on Saturday and Sunday rotations.

The salary ranges for the Analyst I/II classifications are:

Analyst I: $ $89,849.76 - $109,200.00

Analyst II: $ $98,039.76 - $119,159.04

All ranges include an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable pay. Actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate’s qualifications and experience.

The San Jose Public Library is currently seeking to fill one (1) Analyst I/II vacancy that will report to a Senior Analyst of the Finance and Business Services (FBS) Unit.

The positions’ duties and its responsibilities would include, but would not be limited to, the following:

• Management and oversight of the Library ‘s operating budget, including but not limited to, accurate tracking and monitoring of expenditures and revenues, maintaining precise financial records, performing calculations and forecasting, organizing and analyzing data, and making actionable insights and recommendations.
• Prepares various reports and memos; assembles and analyzes data; summarizes findings; proposes or suggests appropriate actions including reallocation of resources; works cross-departmentally to facilitate fiscal and budget requests.
• Providing support and expertise in the development and administration of all fiscal and accounting related activities, including payroll, accounts billable/payable, procurement and contract/grants. Review and approve financial transactions, purchase orders, and awarded contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and funding guidelines.

• Evaluates and prepares recommendations on fiscal management; prepares and revises policy and procedures; develops instructional materials; designs and maintains monitoring system for fiscal processes; provides training to project managers and unit leads and assists in the implementation of improved systems or organization.

Under general supervision of the Fleet & Facilities Superintendent, our Equipment Mechanics perform both routine and complex repairs, diagnoses, and preventive maintenance services on a variety of automotive, construction, and specialized municipal vehicles and equipment, both gasoline and diesel fueled. The employee in the Senior Equipment Mechanic job classification is required to be fully trained in all fleet shop procedures and have strong knowledge of all apparatuses, vehicles, and equipment in the City fleet. The goal of the Fleet Division is to provide high quality repair and maintenance services to all city-owned vehicles, heavy trucks and equipment.

The Department consists of two divisions: Housing and Community Development (HCD) and the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo.

HCD is recruiting for a Housing and Community Development Specialist II/III position. Reporting to the HCD Deputy Director of Real Estate Development and Asset Management, the Housing and Community Development Specialist II/III positions will engage in a variety of functions aimed at increasing the supply of affordable housing throughout San Mateo County and forging partnerships to address critical housing needs. The open position is on the Asset Management Team.

The ideal candidate for this position has broad experience with real estate lending asset management, as well as specific experience managing affordable housing loans and assets in a public sector housing department, community development lending department at a financial institution, or asset management department for an affordable housing owner or developer. The ideal candidate will have experience responding to typical asset management requests from borrowers, other lenders, and government agencies. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and manage systems for documenting loan and sponsor health, including risk rating systems. The ideal candidate has experience reviewing typical affordable housing financial statements for the purpose of determining property performance and calculation of net cash flow and residual receipts.

Examples Of Duties

The Asset Management Team’s HCD Specialist's programmatic support duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Financial reviews of operating budget, capital improvement plans, and audited financial statements.
• Reviewing, calculating, and auditing cash flow analysis for portfolio assets.
• Preparing or providing oversight of loan interest calculations, loan balance audit confirmations, loan payoffs, and database maintenance.
• Assessing, invoicing, and collecting fees and payments owed to the County of San Mateo.
• Preparing annual risk rating assessments of the project loans.
• Ensuring invoices are issued to collect the net cash flow (residual receipt payments) due to the County.
• Collection of required project and operating documents from borrowers.
• Reviewing annual tenant income and rent information (rent rolls) submitted by project owners/managers to ensure compliance with applicable affordability and operating covenants.
• Verification of appropriate insurance coverage to ensure that the County’s assets are protected.
• Reviewing management plans, management agreements, fair housing documents, and other operating documents to ensure they meet appropriate requirements.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:

HCD Specialist II: Two years of experience in construction administration, building inspection, real estate appraisal, community development project coordination, economic development, or loan application preparation and processing.

HCD Specialist III: Three years of experience in a housing and community development program which has included responsibility for coordination of construction, financing, community development, or economic development projects.
