TEEN CENTER PROGRAM STAFF
Salary Range: $15.00 to $20.00/hour depending on experience.
This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefitted positions; 15-20 hours per week (not to exceed 950 hours per fiscal year); predominantly afternoon/early evening schedule with some weekends and concurrent with the school year.
General supervision received from the Program Coordinator. May exercise supervision of other staff depending on position.
This part-time temporary position, up to 16 hours per week, requires an independent, experienced, innovative, and creative individual to develop a variety of visual marketing materials to promote the Town’s recreation services and facilities.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives direct supervision from the Recreation Superintendent. Functional or technical supervision may also be received from other staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Salary Range: $14.06 - $23.88/hour, depending on experience.
Plans, implements and evaluates a minimum of one program, event, or service in a specific area of parks, recreation, cultural arts, and/or facilities. Recommends and coordinates purchase of program supplies and equipment. Provides highly organized and responsible assistance and support to the Program Coordinator.
THE POSITION: The City of Campbell is currently recruiting for a School Crossing Guard position.
Be an important member of a successful team of individuals committed to the safety of school children in our community. School Crossing Guards work approximately 15-20 hours per week during the regular school year. School Crossing Guards are assigned to designated locations in the City of Campbell assisting elementary and junior high school students to safely cross the streets.

The Newark Recreation and Community Services Department is looking for Aquatic Instructors (Swim Instructors) and Lifeguards for our fantastic swim lesson and aquatic programs and the upcoming summer season to work at the Silliman Activity & Family Aquatic Center for Summer 2021. We are looking for positive, patient, motivated, self-driven individuals that have a passion for working with children and wish to make a difference in a child's life by teaching them lifelong water skills! Swimming experience is desired. Swim Instructor training will be provided once hired.
This is an on-call substitute position. Hours will vary depending on need, Monday – Friday.
Under the general supervision of the Program Director, we are seeking professional, passionate and energetic individuals who are able to successfully manage a preschool classroom, develop lesson plans, and effectively promote the emotional, physical, mental and social wellbeing in a classroom environment. This is a classroom position, not an administrative/office position.
This is an on-call substitute position. Hours will vary depending on need. Monday–Friday. Caring, creative and responsible staff are needed to work with children ages 3-5. Under general supervision of the Program Coordinator, staff is responsible for planning and implementing daily age-appropriate activities including crafts, games, songs, drama, storytelling, and supervised play.
Energetic, creative, and responsible leaders are needed to work with teen’s ages 12-16 years at Teen Camp, Teen Center Programs, and Teen Workshop. Under direct supervision, leaders are responsible for planning and implementing sports, daily games, arts-n-crafts, and teen appropriate activities. Leaders will also chaperone campers on occasional field trips and swimming.
Experienced, athletic, and passionate leaders are needed to teach group, private, semi-private and household tennis lessons to people of all ages. Assist with planning and implement daily tennis activities for beginning, intermediate, and advanced students. Must be upbeat, energetic, and creative throughout each lesson. Able to instruct large groups of different abilities at one time and always maintain a safe environment.
Responsible individuals are needed to maintain and enforce proper city procedures and policies in our parks, parking lots and ball fields. Park monitors would perform park inspections and enforce park policies, supervise patrons, renters, and daily facility management.
