The Communications Director (CD) is an at-will position that reports to the Mayor's Chief of Staff and interfaces directly with the Mayor to provide communications and messaging on a broad range of public policy matters.
The Office of Mayor Sam Liccardo is seeking a creative and energetic individual who is passionate about serving the community and committed to advancing the Mayor’s vision for San José. This individual will join a small but dynamic team that is responsible for carrying out a comprehensive and multi-faceted communications operation.
The following are examples of the types of duties that this position may be responsible for:
Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART), the Bay Area’s newest transit system, seeks a creative, experienced Communications and Marketing Manager to oversee communications, marketing, advertising and public outreach. As Manager you will be responsible for SMART’s websites and social media, media relations and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building a successful brand, developing and maintaining social media programs, creating and executing stellar special events and public education programs, and strong media relations experience.

Woodside Fire Protection District offers an exceptional Cadet Program for individuals interested in a career in the Fire Service. Cadets gain hands-on experience participating in training and public service events. Cadets work 24-hour shifts and ride-along on emergency calls.
Woodside Cadets will work and be involved in:
Emergency calls, firefighter training, public education events, fire prevention, station duties, CERPP, cpr/first aid training.
