In order to work within the Police Department, final candidates must pass a thorough background investigation, which will include a medical, psychological, polygraph, and drug/alcohol screening. Are you willing to enter into this process?

This position requires employees to attend training (POST Public Safety Dispatcher Basic Course) outside the City for three weeks. The City compensates for the time and travel, and covers the cost in obtaining the certification. However, it must be obtained within the first year of employment.
