We provide the training and tools necessary for you to learn to respond to emergency and non-emergency calls including dispatching police officers to calls for services and operate a variety of communication equipment such as radios, telephones, and computer systems.

Working shifts for this position consist of a 10-hour days/4 days a week (varied) work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedules rotate every four months and may change to 12-hour days/3 days a week when needed.

This position(s) may be filled as Combination Building Inspector I ($36.0157 - $48.2645 per hour), Combination Building Inspector II ($39.7935 - $53.3271 per hour), or Senior Combination Building Inspector ($43.9679 - $58.9212 per hour), depending on candidate experience and qualifications.

The Combination Building Inspector must possess excellent customer service and communication skills, be self-motivated, exercise discretion and independent judgment, and project a very professional image through in-person, phone, and e-mail interactions at all times. The Police Officer Trainee is the entry-level position for those who have not yet attended the Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified training academy. The academy is a six month long process and the first step in your law enforcement career. Trainee's starting salary is $30.68 hourly (while attending the academy), plus excellent benefits.
