Under the guidance of the Communications Director, the Press Secretary will handle media inquiries, pitch stories, draft press releases, develop op-eds and columns, and plan press events. The person in this role will also develop messaging, build relationships with media contacts, and staff the Mayor at interviews and press events.
The Communications Director (CD) is an at-will position that reports to the Mayor's Chief of Staff and interfaces directly with the Mayor to provide communications and messaging on a broad range of public policy matters.

The City of Sunnyvale is actively seeking a highly energetic, skilled, and motivated individual to join a well-established municipality as a Public Works Construction Inspector. The individual will perform quality assurance inspections on typical City capital construction projects. These projects include but are not limited to roadway rehabilitation, water, storm and sewer lines replacement, water stations and plants, wastewater and solid waste processing, parks, traffic systems and building upgrades and rehabilitation.
AFTER SCHOOL COMMUNITY SERVICES ASSISTANT (ASCSA) I/II/III
ASCSA I: $12.36 - $15.02/hr.
ASCSA II: $13.84 - $16.82/hr.
ASCSA III: $15.79 - $19.19/hr.
Multiple Positions Open (part-time, at-will, no benefits)
Also hiring Substitute ASCSA I staff available a minimum of 3 days a week.
