This position reports to the Utilities Division-Environment Compliance Section of the Public Works Department.
The successful candidate will:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of entry level transportation planning, development, and operations projects and programming work of routine difficulty. Performs related work as required.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives direction from the Transportation Services Manager. This position does not exercise supervision over others.

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking a new Sustainability Division member to contribute to the team’s efforts in reducing resource use through analysis, planning, and implementation of sustainability strategies and best practices. This individual’s responsibilities will be to lead energy plan development and implementation for municipal facilities and the community, conduct energy and greenhouse gas analyses and model projections, and provide project management for municipal energy efficiency and renewable energy projects as needed.
The City of Thousand Oaks is in search of an Assistant/Associate Transit Planner for the City’s award-winning public transit program. The Assistant/Associate Transit Planner will be responsible for a range of duties in support of transit operations, including planning, implementing, overseeing, and coordinating key transit programs and initiatives, coordination with contracting agencies, other City divisions, vendors, and the general public. Experience in public transit agency, preferably in a contract operation environment, is desirable.
