The Public Works Services Department provides a wide range of services to Redwood City residents. Our services vary from utility services (water, sewer, solid waste) to environmental programs (water conservation, energy efficiency) and right-of way services (LED streetlights, traffic signs).

This internship provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic college level student seeking broad experience within a dynamic city planning division. The Planning & Housing Division of the Community Development Department administers City Council policies contained in the general plan, zoning ordinance, and other plans and ordinances.
Under general direction of the Rent Stabilization Administrator and working closely with the Community and Economic Development Director, responsible for the planning and direction of all assigned staff and activities associated with the management and operations of the City’s Housing Programs, including rent stabilization activities, affordable housing, anti-displacement initiatives, and compliance with all City regulations.
