The Office of the City Attorney for the City of San José is seeking an
experienced trial lawyer for the position of Chief Deputy City Attorney.
This position serves as the lead trial attorney for the City’s most
challenging cases, has supervisory responsibility for cases assigned to
Deputy and Sr. Deputy attorneys, and provides leadership, guidance
and training to the City’s litigation team.
The total salary range is $189,488 to $286,979. This amount includes
an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable pay.

To attend a Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T), a certified basic academy. The Police Public Service Assistant (PSA) III is assigned to the Police Department’s Crime Lab and provides support to the Forensic Specialists and Crime Scene Investigators during operations in the Crime Lab. The Police Public Service Assistant III position requires excellent customer service and communication skills.
