The County of Yuba is recruiting for both Extra-Help and Full-Time Juvenile Corrections Officers I/II,  in an effort to fill current vacancies and establish an eligibility list. These positions are located on the Tri-County Youth Rehabilitation Campus which falls under the Juvenile Institutions Division of the Yuba County Probation Department. The primary responsibilities of this flexibly staffed position are to: provide care, custody, supervision, and control of youth housed in the secured detention facilities while they are pending legal action or serving a post adjudication commitment; ensure and sustain a safe and secure environment for youth; and coordinate counseling and behavior modification activities associated with the operation of the facilities.

Our Department believes people can change and we can be instrumental in supporting that change.  We are  a small workplace family that supports one another to accomplish our mission and allow our team members to live full lives outside the workplace. Our Campus provides youth detention services to the communities of Yuba, Sutter, and Colusa Counties as well as several contract counties through our Camp Singer program.  We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, and includes the Tri-County Juvenile Hall, Secure Housing Unit, and Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center (Camp Singer), under a Joint Powers Agreement between the three counties. Our Department is the administrative agency responsible for the management and daily operation of the facility. The shared goal of facility staff is to provide youth with support and tools that will assist them with successfully reintegrating back into the community.  Staff are provided with state mandated relevant training, which includes youth trauma; crisis management; cultural competence; mental health awareness; sexual abuse and harassment; and proper use of force.

THE ROLE AND PROJECTS:
Reporting to the Economic Development Program Manager, the Intern will be engaged in project-based work to advance key economic development strategic initiatives.  Examples of the work include, but are not limited to the following:

• Implement tasks outlined in the San Rafael Economic Development Strategic Plan.
• Develop a business support communications plan in collaboration with business support partners.
• Support Division Manager to activate outreach to businesses.
• Learn and assist with contract management.
• Evaluate resources available to various business groups through an equity lens.  Research strategies for business support for underserved sectors in San Rafael.
• Support activation of the Downtown San Rafael Arts District Strategic Plan.
• Administrative tasks as assigned.

HOURS, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
This position will work approximately 12-20 hours per week.  The candidate will have hands-on learning and work experience at San Rafael City Hall and outreach in the community.

This is a temporary position and hours worked may not exceed 1,000 hours in a fiscal year (July 1 thru June 30).

In accordance with the salary resolution, this position receives no benefits with the exception of Paid Sick Leave and a retirement plan.  

• Temporary employees are entitled to receive sick leave in accordance with California's Paid Sick Leave Law (AB 1522).

Under the direction of the Director of Public Works or their designee, the Management Analyst I performs a variety of journey-level, professional and technical administrative duties in support of Public Works. Work assigned may be in a specific program area and/or to perform administrative duties in support of a division of Public Works or the department as a whole, including research and analysis. The incumbent plans, manages, implements, and evaluates assigned programs, systems, procedures and operations; and coordinates assignments with other departments and outside agencies. The Management Analyst I plays a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of the Public Works department and will be responsible for:

• Asset Management and Tracking: Facilitating the acceptance of new streets and utilities into the City’s inventory and maintaining meticulous records of maintenance activities through ArcGIS. 

• Optimizing Fleet Operations: Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and requirements such as annual use reporting, emissions, registration, vehicle/fuel procurement and inventory systems. 

• Public Communications, Marketing, and Stakeholder Outreach: Assisting in the development and execution of public communication strategies, marketing campaigns, and stakeholder outreach initiatives to enhance community engagement and awareness of Public Works programs and projects.

• Department and Division Budgeting: Collaborating with departmental stakeholders to assist in budget preparation, tracking, forecasting, and contributing to the development and publication of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) bi-annually.

• Sanitary Sewer System Program Management: Supporting the management and implementation of the Sanitary Sewer System program by overseeing tasks such as managing and updating sewer lateral ordinances, updating sewer rates, calculating and tracking Equivalent Dwelling Units (EDUs), and updating the Sanitary System Management Plan and annual reporting Plan in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Personnel Functions: Acting as a liaison to Human Resources and assisting in various personnel functions including recruiting, onboarding, training coordination, tracking, and calendar updates as necessary to ensure timely personnel management. 

• Contractor and Consultant Procurement: Supporting the procurement process for contractors and consultants, including contract administration and tracking of services rendered.

• Street, Tree and Neighborhood Assessment Districts: Managing Special District programs, including but not limited to, development of assessments, regular rate review and updates, stakeholder outreach, coordination and recommending required council action.

The City of Marysville is seeking qualified candidates for the position of a Human Resources Manager, Assistant to the City Manager and City Clerk; this recruitment will fill 1 vacancy and create an eligible list.  

This recruitment will encompass three (3) different positions with the City of Marysville (Human Resources Manager (HR), Assistant to the City Manager (ACM) and City Clerk (CC); due to this caveat this classification specification will list duties and responsibilities for the three (3) positions.
The Human Resource Manager will conduct, lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. ACM - To perform a variety of administrative and managerial responsibilities in the conduct and management of the activities of preparing City Council agendas, minutes, and Council packets, as well as responding to Public Records request and maintaining all official City records. CC- The City Clerk shall perform those duties set out in the City of Marysville Charter and ordinances, as well as is prescribed by State and other law. The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for a Fiscal Analyst within the Finance and Administrative Division of the Community Development & Services Agency. Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of difficult and complex professional level analytical work to support the operations of County departments, agencies and programs in areas such as the development and administration of the annual budget, financial/fiscal analysis and reporting, grant monitoring and administration; and performs other duties as assigned.  This is the journey level classification in the professional Analyst series.

The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department is currently accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for the classification of Correctional Officer.  Under continuing supervision incumbents perform a wide variety of support in two areas: corrections, in which incumbents ensure the security, safety and care of individuals in custody; and bailiff, in which incumbents ensure the safety and security of the courts and their personnel during court proceedings; and perform related work as assigned. Incumbents may be assigned to either County Jail security or Court security. 

About the Sheriff’s Department :

The Yuba County Sheriff's Department is responsible for the administration of the Yuba County Jail and Jail staff. The Mission of the Yuba County Jail is to provide safe, efficient, humane and secure custody of all persons incarcerated. The county prisoner population is made up of those who are sentenced to county jail, those serving state prison sentences in the county jail under AB109, and those who are pre-trial and who have not yet been sentenced. The jail provides a necessary link in the criminal justice system. There are numerous programs operating within the facility including medical, kitchen, exercise, commissary, visiting, law library, inmate education, work programs, work furlough program, and inmate classification.
