DEFINITION
Under general supervision of the Public Works Director and or the Public Works Lead, this classification works primarily in the Public Works Department and performs a variety of duties essential to the maintenance of the City.
Sheriff's Correctional Deputy I/II (20640257)
This position performs a variety of work in the monitoring of county, state and federal detainees and maintains the security and safety of inmates and staff.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
The County of Yuba is currently accepting full time and extra help applications for the position of Correctional Technician within the Probation Department - Youth Detention Facilities and the Sheriff's Department - Jail Division. Working under general supervision, the Correctional Technician is responsible for operating and monitoring video and audio systems to maintain the safety and security of inmates, juveniles, and staff within the secure detention areas.
Emergency Dispatcher I/II (20637704)
The Emergency Dispatcher I/II position in the Sheriff’s Department performs a variety of difficult work in the provision of 24-hour-per-day, seven-days-per-week public safety emergency dispatch service, including all 911 communications. Emergency Dispatcher I is the entry level class in the Emergency Dispatcher series. It differs from Emergency Dispatcher II in that the II level is fully trained as a dispatcher and may provide training for the Dispatcher I. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead complex engineering projects that provide essential services throughout Glenn County. Reporting directly to the Public Works Director, the Assistant Public Works Director will serve as a project manager for a variety of public works and capital improvement projects, including the design and construction of roads, bridges and storm drainage infrastructure.

This is one of newer programs within the Marysville Fire Department. The Marysville Fire Department is hiring continuously for three (3) Seasonal Firefighters.
For this position, each hour worked will be paid at $16.50, that will be paid monthly in accordance with the City of Marysville's established pay schedule, with a maximum of 960 hours per appointment.
Upon successful completion of POST Academy, the position becomes a full-time probationary Police Officer position.
