Human Resources Specialist

The Sacramento Public Library is looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join our Human Resources Department. If you are a person of integrity, collaborative in nature, customer service oriented, analytical and tech savvy, have experience working with a variety of HR systems and enjoy a fast paced and challenging work environment this may be the perfect fit.
Under general supervision, the Maintenance Worker is assigned to the Streets and Sewers Division of the Public Works Department and is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks and operating power-driven road maintenance or construction equipment and trucks.
Examples of duties include:
- Operation and maintenance of power-driven street, sewer, and construction equipment
- Cleaning of sewer lines and storm drains
- Performance of concrete work and other construction and street resurfacing projects
ABOUT MILL VALLEY:
The Sewerage Agency of Southern Marin (SASM) is a joint powers authority (JPA) that provides wastewater collection, treatment, water reclamation, and disposal for 30,000 Southern Marin residents. The City of Mill Valley, a member of the JPA, provides staff and administration for SASM.
SASM is located along the waterfront in Mill Valley in close proximity to Highway 101, San Francisco, nature preserves, and iconic recreational areas.
Under direct supervision, the Police Officer Trainee attends a Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T) approved Police Basic Recruit Academy and successfully completes the academic and physical training required for appointment to the classification of Police Officer Recruit II. Police Officer Trainees are considered at-will employees. Police officer probationary status begins when the trainee is sworn in as a Police Officer Recruit II after completion of the police academy.
