DEFINITION:
Under the general direction from Union City’s Cybersecurity Manager and/or Director of Information Technology Services, the Cybersecurity Intern will fulfill a variety of valuable functions. These include identifying and tracking Cybersecurity issues and incidents, gathering relevant data for troubleshooting and problem solving, interacting with Union City staff, working with cybersecurity applications and tools, monitoring systems for security events and alarms, preparing assessment and reports, and other duties as assigned.
Program Overview:
As an intern at the City of Simi Valley, you will be provided with on-the-job training and experience working in local government while you continue to work on obtaining your educational degree. In addition, you will build employment skills, and establish a professional network.

POLICE ASSISTANT

DEFINITION
The Police Assistant is a civilian, non-sworn, uniformed position that is responsible for a variety of customer service-based interactions with the community. Duties include non-hazardous enforcement of municipal parking laws and regulations as well as clerical front counter tasks related to phone and walk-in contacts at the police department.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
The City of Brisbane will be sponsoring up to four summer internships this year. Our internships are project-oriented and designed to give college students a good general overview of future employment opportunities and current issues in the Public Sector.
