ABOUT THE POSITIONS
The City of Redwood City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is looking for Teen Program/Camp Leaders, Assistant Camp Directors, Camp Directors who are interested in working 25-40 hours per week during the summer, planning, organizing, and conducting basic recreation activities in a variety of settings selected by the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department.

This position performs a variety of paraprofessional technical and customer service functions supporting the Building Division. Incumbents may advance to the higher-level class after gaining knowledge, skills, certification, and experience that meet the qualifications for and demonstrating the ability to perform the work of the higher-level class. Responsibilities include interpreting policies and procedures relating to building and construction activities enforcing the building codes. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.
JOB DUTIES
The Senior Building Inspector conducts routine and complex inspections of buildings and structures at various stages of construction, alteration, and repair to verify compliance with approved plans and applicable building, accessibility, fire, electrical, energy, mechanical, plumbing, zoning, and sign codes. This position also performs plan checks of construction documents, prepares inspection reports, and issues corrective actions when necessary, while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations on all job sites.

SENIOR BUILDING INSPECTOR
Salary: $58.52 - $74.69 Hourly

Under general supervision, performs a variety of complex technical duties in support of the development review process, including planning, zoning, plan review, building inspection, plan intake and screening, permit issuance, and code enforcement; provides information to the public at a counter or over the telephone; supports regulation and control of design, construction, and quality of materials, use and occupancy, location, and maintenance of all buildings and structures within the Town’s jurisdiction; and performs related duties as assigned.
