San Mateo County Health's Aging and Adult Services Division is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Social Worker II (SW II) to provide a wide variety of services in such areas as information and referral, supportive services, protective services, out-of-home services, health related services, and other welfare within San Mateo County Health and the Human Services Agency.
 
The current vacancy is in the Enhanced Care Management (ECM) / Partners for Independence (PFI) Unit - Community Services (CS) that provides CS services coordination for adults who have complex medical and psychosocial needs and are at-risk for out of home placement.  ECM/PFI CS is a voluntary program that may be offered to San Mateo County residents who have Medi-CAL, who are aged and/or disabled with CalAIM CS needs.  
 
Distinguishing Characteristics
The Social Worker II screens applicants’ eligibility for CalAIM CS services. The SW II will travel throughout the County to conduct home visits to educate eligible clients regarding services, participate at Interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings, coordinate services to assist clients and to perform other duties of the position.

 The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Master's degree in Social Work.
• Excellent communication skills with seniors, cognitive and behavior challenged clients and their caregivers to develop an appropriate respite schedule for clients.
• Experience using comprehensive assessment tools to identify the needs of CalAIM CS applicants/participants. 
• Understanding of human development and behavior within diverse populations.
• Ability to independently develop and implement sound case plans of action.
• Experience balancing client-centered care coordination and the accompanying administrative documentation.
• Familiarity in implementing program regulations.
• Superior organizational skills to manage a large caseload and related documents.
• Proficient computer skills to use several independent data base systems as well as Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technology, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent writing/documentation skills.
• Valid CA driver license is required.
• Fluency in other languages in addition to English is a plus 

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

• California class C driver license or equivalent.

Education: Satisfactory completion of 30 semester units of social welfare and/or appropriate behavioral science courses.

Experience: Two years experience performing duties comparable to those of a Social Worker I or higher in San Mateo County. Substitution: Possession of a Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of Social Work.

The Event Security Operations Manager (SM3) plays a vital senior role in the management of security, medical response and emergency contingency plans for events occurring on the Stanford campus. What You’ll Do

The Community Services Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and supervising the leisure, cultural, and human services activities of the Division and providing highly responsible professional and technical staff assistance. Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Plan, organize, coordinate and direct the work of subordinates in developing and implementing a broad and diversified community recreation and human services program.
• Participate as a member of the community-based network of Human Services Agencies.
• Develop and implement changes in staffing, goals, objectives, policies and procedures to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
• Develop programs of service to meet community needs including plans for efficient and economical use of labor, buildings, equipment and materials.
• Attend meetings of and prepare reports for Commissions and Advisory Groups; provide technical and professional advice and recommendations relating to recreation and human services.
• Respond to and resolve difficult resident inquiries and complaints.
• Prepare and administer the division budget, maintaining appropriate budgetary controls.
• Administer federal, state and special project grants.
• Participate in planning, organizing, and coordinating the development, construction, and maintenance of parks, recreation buildings, playground areas, and other facilities.
• Direct the scheduling of work projects and the determination of equipment, material and personnel needs with the Division.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
• Supervise the maintenance of a variety of records and reports.

The City of Redwood City invites applications for Code Enforcement I/II in the Community Development  Department.

THE POSITION

The Code Enforcement Officer I or II is a part of the Building Division in the Community Development Department. This position will be filled at either Officer I or Officer II level, depending on qualifications of the final candidate. Under the direction of the Building Official and with day-to-day supervision by Senior Building Inspector, Code Enforcement Team, this position will work to ensure compliance with the Redwood City Municipal Code, ordinances and zoning regulations; and investigate and document violations. The Code Enforcement Program seeks to promote and maintain a safe and desirable living and work environment. These duties will require coordination with other City staff in Community Development, Public Works, Fire and Police Departments, as well as other agencies, and the public.

Typical duties include, but are not limited to: Work closely with homeowners, businesses and community groups to enhance the quality of neighborhoods through public relations, community building, and code enforcement related educational activities; Maintain effective and cooperative relations with the public; Investigate complaints of violations of City code, zoning ordinances, sign regulations and related laws, ordinances, and codes; Document complaints, inspections, actions, administrative remedies and compliance; Issue courtesy notices, notices of violations, correction notices, and stop work orders, as appropriate; Conduct routine follow-up investigations to ensure compliance with applicable codes, notify concerned parties of action taken. Code Enforcement Officer II will be required to handle the more complex type of Code Enforcement violation such as dealing with Zoning and illegal construction cases.

Provides clinical assessment, short-term counseling and referral services to employees of the City and County who are experiencing difficulties related to personal or work-related problems, such as stress, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, emotional concerns or relationship issues; provides counseling of family members and significant others as appropriate.
2. Facilitates seminars and trainings for employees and management on personal, interpersonal and organizational issues such as the effective management of stress, anger and emotions, workplace negativity and dealing with difficult people.
3. Assists in evaluation efforts to determine the effectiveness of services provided.
4. Educates employees, supervisors and managers regarding EAP service offerings, how to access services, early identification of personal and workplace problems, and referrals to the program.
5. Provides trauma response, crisis intervention and mediation/conflict resolution services as requested.
6. Collects client and program data for tracking, conducts analysis, and prepares related records and reports as requested.
