DESCRIPTION 

The Capital Improvement Division of the Public Works Department is seeking up to two motivated and capable individuals who can approach challenges with confidence and professionalism. Ideal candidates will have experience/background in civil engineering and utilities design and/or construction.  

The position may be filled as an Engineering Assistant, Engineering Associate, or Associate Engineer, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and certifications. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Prepare and oversee the preparation of  design plans and specification, construction documents, engineering studies and reports

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Accounts Payable

• Verifies, audits and edits employee time entry in Telestaff; reviews and finalizes daily rosters for payroll
• Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Pays vendors by; verifying Federal ID numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments
• Processes check requests, wire transfers and ACH payments Audits and processes credit card statements for payment
• Responsible for maintenance of 1099 and W9 records throughout the year and prepares and reports annual 1099 information

Accounts Receivable

• Researches and resolves payment discrepancies and customer inquiries

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
• Completion of 12 units of relevant accounting classes 
• Experience can be substituted on a year for year basis

• Three (3) years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting with at least two (2) years of experience in accounts payable and in accounts receivable

DESCRIPTION 

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative technology leader to serve as its first Deputy Chief Technology Officer (Deputy CTO). This position will play a critical role in supporting the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in building, operating, and maturing the City’s newly established Information Technology (IT) Department. 

The Deputy CTO will serve as a key partner to the CTO, helping translate the City’s Information Technology Strategic Plan (ITSP) into effective, day-to-day operations and successful project execution. The Department

Under supervision, the Community Service Officer (CSO) performs a wide range of field and office support duties in the patrol and support services divisions within the Marysville Police Department.

Definition:

What You’ll Do

• Support the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of a comprehensive risk-based emergency management and community preparedness program.
• Prepare and maintain municipal emergency operations plans, annexes, appendixes, checklists, and other supporting documentation.

• Design and administer communication plans to enable effective municipal and community response to a disaster situation.

• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration, supporting both the Detectives Bureau and Crime Analysis Unit as operational needs shift.
• Technical proficiency, including the ability to learn and use specialized law enforcement databases, statistical tools, and digital evidence systems.
• Adaptability, with the ability to adjust to changing procedures, new technologies, and evolving investigative needs.
• Commitment to accuracy and integrity, especially when handling evidence, preparing reports, or testifying in court.
