THE POSITION

The current opening is for a full-time position and is under the direction of the Police Records Supervisor. The Police Records Specialist will provide a wide variety of clerical, typing, and computer data entry tasks related to Police records; maintaining accurate Police statistics, records, and files; conducting business and transactions with the public, in person and by telephone; is available for occasional night and/or weekend duty as required, and performing other related work as required.

The anticipated hiring range for the Engineering Assistant position is $91,185 - $113,982 annually, with a full salary range up to $136,778.

DESCRIPTION 

The Capital Improvement Division of the Public Works Department is seeking up to two motivated and capable individuals who can approach challenges with confidence and professionalism. Ideal candidates will have experience/background in civil engineering and utilities design and/or construction.  

The position may be filled as an Engineering Assistant, Engineering Associate, or Associate Engineer, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and certifications. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Prepare and oversee the preparation of  design plans and specification, construction documents, engineering studies and reports

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

This is the journey level position in the Accounting Technician series. It differs from the Senior position in that the Senior position exercises a significant amount of decision making and functions with a higher degree of independence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Accounts Payable

• Verifies, audits and edits employee time entry in Telestaff; reviews and finalizes daily rosters for payroll
• Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Pays vendors by; verifying Federal ID numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments
• Processes check requests, wire transfers and ACH payments Audits and processes credit card statements for payment
• Responsible for maintenance of 1099 and W9 records throughout the year and prepares and reports annual 1099 information
• Responds to vendor inquiries, reconciles vendor statements, researches and corrects discrepancies when necessary

Accounts Receivable

• Maintains billing system, customer files and records; generates monthly/quarterly billing

• Runs monthly A/R reconciliation and aging reports; monitors customer accounts for non- payments and other irregularities
• Researches and resolves payment discrepancies and customer inquiries

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
• Completion of 12 units of relevant accounting classes 
• Experience can be substituted on a year for year basis

• Three (3) years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting with at least two (2) years of experience in accounts payable and in accounts receivable

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of financial record keeping, bookkeeping and governmental accounting practices and procedures

DESCRIPTION 

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative technology leader to serve as its first Deputy Chief Technology Officer (Deputy CTO). This position will play a critical role in supporting the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in building, operating, and maturing the City’s newly established Information Technology (IT) Department. 

The Deputy CTO will serve as a key partner to the CTO, helping translate the City’s Information Technology Strategic Plan (ITSP) into effective, day-to-day operations and successful project execution. While the CTO focuses on long-term vision, executive leadership, and Citywide strategy, the Deputy CTO will provide strong operational leadership, oversee core technology functions, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality IT services across the organization. 

This is a unique opportunity to help build a new department from the ground up in a forward-thinking, well-resourced municipal organization, while shaping how technology supports City services, employees, and the community. 

The Deputy CTO will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer and may serve as the CTO’s designee in meetings, projects, and decision-making as assigned. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Department Operations & Leadership 

• Support the CTO in establishing and maturing the City’s standalone IT Department, including policies, procedures, governance, and service delivery models.

The Department

The South San Francisco Fire Department provides its residents with service in fire suppression; first-responder and ambulance transport emergency medical services; hazardous materials response; urban search and rescue; marine rescue and fire prevention, investigation and public education. Under supervision, the Community Service Officer (CSO) performs a wide range of field and office support duties in the patrol and support services divisions within the Marysville Police Department.

This is a specialized, full-time, non-sworn classification. The Community Service Officer has no powers of arrest.

Definition: 
To perform varied and routine non-sworn duties with emphasis on parking enforcement and vehicle abatement program.

Examples of Duties:

• Enforce sections of the Marysville Municipal Code, other enforcement codes; and assist other City Departments in various code enforcement

• Perform traffic control and non-violent crowd control
