DEFINITION: The Cadet Program is designed to introduce recent high school graduates (ages 18 to 24) to a law enforcement career and to prepare them for entry into the Police Academy. Under direct supervision, the Cadet position performs a wide variety of police support duties and clerical assistance for the Fontana Police Department.
Under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, provides instruction to swimmers, attend practices and swim meets and prepare swim meet event scheduling.

The Aquatics Program Coordinator is responsible for providing the highest quality of guest service to participants of swim lessons and camps at Aqua Adventure Waterpark. The Coordinator will be responsible for administrative duties and assist with the planning and execution of swim lessons and camps, as assigned. In addition, the Coordinator will assist in the hiring and training of part time staff. Aqua Camp runs M-F from 9am-3pm. Swim lessons are M-TH 8am-10:30am and 4pm-6:30pm and Sat 8am-10:30am
$20.50 - $25.60 per hour – depending upon experience

LIFEGUARD AND SWIM INSTRUCTOR
Salary: $16.97 - $17.81 (depending on experience and certifications)
Must be at least 15 years old and have the ability to obtain a work permit, if under the age of 18. Applicants must have completed and passed the Lifeguard Training class that includes CPR, FPR, and AED by June 1, 2021. WSI (water safety instructor) is highly recommended.

Lifeguards patrol and watch the activities in and around the community swimming pool, enforce regulations to prevent accidents, and rescue swimmers in distress. About the Town
Under immediate supervision, monitors activities in the water, pool decks, and ancillary areas of aquatics facilities to ensure the safety of patrons; learns, explains, and enforces safe swimming programs and pool policies, regulations, and rules. Performs rescues and administers first aid, CPR, and AED as needed; and performs related work as required.
Schedule: 25 hours per week. Schedule will vary, will include weekends.
