• Perform quality assurance to ensure videos are being categorized correctly and reports are documented correctly.

TOWN MANAGER - TOWN OF LOOMIS

The Town Council of the Town of Loomis, California (population 6,800) is seeking an energetic and engaging individual with a commitment to public service to become its new Town Manager. The Town Manager directs, coordinates, and manages the overall administrative   activities and operations of the Town and advises and assists the Town Council while exercising significant independent judgment and initiative. In this smaller-sized entity, the Town Manager will need to be comfortable with a hands-on and collaborative approach to day-to-day  management. This will include providing strong leadership and frequent interaction with the small team (Finance, Community Development, Engineering and Public Works), fostering a    collaborative, open dialogue, and teamwork. The Town Council also seeks a Town Manager who enjoys working in the public sector and appreciates the variety and diversity of contributions from all sources within the organization, as well as from this active and engaged community.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree and progressively responsible experience in an administrative, managerial, or senior level staff capacity in a comparable organization with  similar issues. California municipal experience, particularly in a rural setting, is highly regarded by the Town Council, although all highly qualified candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. An advanced degree may be a plus based on overall career experience.

Per Diem Management Analyst I - City Manager's Office

The City Manager’s Office is seeking a Management Analyst I for a per diem opportunity beginning as soon as possible. The position offers a flexible schedule. The expectation is this position will work 20-25 hours per week, but may go up to 30 hours per week on occasion, and will not exceed 960 hours total. The hourly rate is $48.91.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Oversee and promote the City’s volunteer program with an eye toward continuous improvement and program evolution.
• Provide direct support on special projects led by the Senior Management Analyst and/or Assistant City Manager.  
• Coordinate ongoing management of select City public art installations.
• Represent the City Manager’s Office on cross-departmental committees and teams, such as the Safety Committee and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and act as a conduit for critical information.
• Assist with the organization and implementation of community engagement events.
• Conduct research and analysis and make recommendations on the formulation of policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Assist in the coordination of intradepartmental and departmental activities with other City departments and divisions, and outside agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

• One year of general administrative experience, preferably in local government.
• Equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major work in public or business administration or a closely related field.

The Santa Clara City Library is a department of the City and has positioned itself as a dynamic community hub, providing access to information, literacy resources, educational programming, and promotes civic engagement in Santa Clara. The Library Department is organized into several divisions: Administration, Adult Services, Branch Services, Customer Services, Facilities, Read Santa Clara, Technical and Technology Services and Youth Services. Santa Clara City Library is in the process of finalizing and implementing its new Strategic Plan that will support the direction of future library services. 

Position

Read Santa Clara, the adult and family literacy program of the Santa Clara City Library, has offered English as a Second Language (ESL) services since 2023, as part of a state grant project. The ESL Program Assistant provides 1:1 and small group tutoring for limited English-speaking adults to strengthen their basic English speaking and listening skills and help achieve their goals. This position works with and reports to the ESL Program Specialist and Literacy Program Supervisor. This position is responsible for supporting literacy volunteers, assessing adult learners’ literacy needs, and documenting program data for grant reporting.  The ideal candidate has a passion for serving adults with limited English language skills from historically underserved communities.

This is a grant funded position for 15 hours a week till June 30, 2026. The position’s continuation beyond this date is subject to the availability of grant funds.

As an as-needed employee, this is an "at-will" position and there is no guarantee of hours. Hours are limited to 999 in a fiscal year or 960 hours in a fiscal year for retired CalPERS annuitants.
