The Recreation Department of the Town of Colma is recruiting for a part-time Senior Recreation Leader for immediate hiring who will enjoy exercising creativity, working with Children and Seniors. The Ideal candidate will be available to work year-round, a varied work schedule, including Days, Evenings and Weekends.

Senior Recreation Leaders assist Recreation Coordinators and the Recreation Manager with the Town’s daily recreation activities and programming, including supervision of recreation programs for children, adults and senior citizens. Recreation Leaders do not receive Town benefits and have an “at will” status.

You’ll enjoy duties such as:

• Planning, organizing, leading and conducting a wide variety of indoor and outdoor recreation activities at our park, playground and community centers including after-school programs, teen center, day camps, play groups, special events and senior events.
• Guiding recreation activities for children, teens and adults.
• Actively managing children’s playground activities.
• Ensuring that needed supplies and equipment are inventoried and on hand.
• Setting up and taking down recreational and facility equipment.
• Enrolling participants in recreation activities utilizing computer system.
• Assisting residents with facility bookings and entering reservations in computer system.
• Maintaining communications with parents of participants
• Supervising and directing recreation leaders in daily tasks
• Attending staff meetings.
• Performing light janitorial and maintenance duties.
• Applying basic first aid.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skill and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:

• Fifteen semester college units
• Two years of experience in a recreation field.

The PSE II –Coach position provides support, education, and advocacy to persons receiving services through the Mental Health Services Act. The MHSA Coach positions may also provide a variety of services related to the operation of the Harmony House Drop in Center and the Full Service Partnership Program. THE POSITION

The City of East Palo Alto is currently recruiting for a journey level Management Analyst classification who values responsive and efficient public services to enhance the quality of life and safety for its multi-cultural community.  This position will report to the Community and Economic Development Director or his/her designee.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for one (1) special, bilingual individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I/II for the Children’s Full Service Partnership/Transitional Aged Youth Program (FSP/TAY).   The Clinical Therapist I/II will appeal to individuals who, are passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families.  The Clinical Therapist I/II will report to the Program Supervisor.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Within the scope of practice, Agency guidelines and professional standards, have the responsibility to formulate a differential diagnosis concerning the nature of the mental health challenges;
• Develop an effective treatment program including intervention methods;
• Provide field-based individual and family therapy, crisis intervention and case management for children, transitional age youth and their families;
• Conduct crisis assessment intakes, create treatment goals and complete the applicable LADMH documentation;
• Participate in weekly on-call rotation every 4-6 weeks and have the ability to transport clients as needed; & other duties as assigned.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for one (1) special individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I/II for the Adult Full Service Partnership (FSP) Program.   This position is a field based position.  The Clinical Therapist I will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community with moderate to severe behavioral health clients. The Clinical Therapist will report to a Program Supervisor.   

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Will initiate and conduct individual, family and group counseling/psychotherapy sessions;
   
• Provide crisis intervention to mentally ill/emotionally disabled individuals, groups and families;
   
• Provide case management services on or offsite;
   
• Meet with clients for regular therapeutic interviews, guide clients in understanding of their illness and contributing personal, social and economic factors;
   
• Assist clients in developing realistic plans and advice clients on community resources;
   
• Maintain records of all activities relating to clients’ care and must adhere to Agency and service billing requirements, etc.
   
• Work on a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and other duties as assigned, etc.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for one (1) individual to serve as Psychiatric Technician I, II or III for the Adult Full Service Partnership (FSP) Program.  The Psychiatric Technician I/II/III will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community by providing all manner of adjunctive medication support services.  The Psychiatric Technician I/II/III will report to the Medication Support Team Supervisor and the Crisis & Medication Support Manager and work a 5/40 schedule (Monday – Friday).

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• In collaboration with the Agency’s Psychiatrists, will provide all medication support services including injections, monitoring, non-prescription medication, etc.;
   
• Assist in admitting clients to department services; provide direct and indirect care including taking and recording measures of the client’s physical condition such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration;
   
• Observe, evaluate, record, and report to professional staff changes in client’s condition;
   
• Implement de-escalation procedures and techniques and aid or restrain clients to prevent injury to themselves or others through verbal or physical intervention. 
   
• If LPS-qualified, work with local agencies on client hospitalization when indicated.
   
• Comply with state regulations and code of ethics governing psychiatric technicians, as well as all applicable federal, State, and local laws pertaining to medical records and documentation including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act, Public Law 111-005 (“HITECH Act”).

• Provide services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment (including medications) as prescribed by the psychiatrist.
   
• Perform routine and emergency in-take evaluation according to agency procedure; and other duties as assigned, etc.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS  Incumbents independently perform a full range of technical analysis and evaluation of the Windows, virtual machine environment, and network-connected equipment for system users.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED  Incumbent receives general supervision from the Network/Systems Administrator.  Technical and functional supervision may be provided by higher-level Information Systems staff members.    Exercise indirect supervision over contract employees.    

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Configure and maintain window servers and clients.  Configure and maintain virtual machine environment.  Perform network-connected equipment troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common problems.  Configure, maintain, and install workstation hardware and software. Confer with users regarding operating problems, diagnose malfunctions, identify if problem is software or hardware related and perform corrective repairs or arrange for repair on all workstations, servers, and peripherals. Provide technical support of workstation connectivity, application, and database server access.  Assist with receiving, installing, setting up, and deploying computer equipment.  Oversee installation and upgrades of existing computer systems. Occasionally may train users in use of hardware and software.  Perform PC/server administration.  Assist in preparing time and cost estimates of proposed projects involving PC computers, network servers, and/or other equipment. Meet with departments and evaluate needs.    Assist in maintaining equipment and software license inventory.  Assist in developing documentation and procedures for users and for internal use. Maintain the confidentiality of department information.  Assist in evaluating hardware and software packages and make recommendations concerning their capabilities and appropriateness for City network environment. QUALIFICATIONS 
Knowledge of:  Windows operating systems commands and concepts.  Concepts and understanding of a virtual machine environment. System administrator commands and concepts.  Installing peripheral equipment such as printers, etc., on server/client computer systems.  Software application packages such as MS Office.  Installation and configuration of server software.  Assist in configuring network security (Groups, Profiles, Passwords).  Personal computers connected to the internet.  Computer documentation procedures.  Data processing and basic programming techniques. Networking concepts including multiple operating system configurations.  Emergency procedures relating to computer equipment.

Ability to:  Work effectively and cooperatively with computer system users and department staff.  Identify, evaluate, and solve problems with computer systems and network connected equipment.  Read, interpret, and apply technical publications, manuals, and other documents.  Learn and understand data processing concepts and programs used by the City.  Communicate effectively with personnel of user Departments, both orally and in writing.  Schedule and perform work within time limits and deadlines.  Troubleshoot both hardware and software problems and determine effective solutions.  Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.  Work safely around electronic equipment. Collaboration with staff and/or outside personnel is an essential part of the position.

License or Certificate:  Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.  Possession of technology certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), VMware Certifications, or other industry certifications is highly desirable. VMware certification to be obtained within one year of employment. 

Education and Experience:  An example of the education and experience which most likely demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the duties would be any combination equivalent to an Associate of Arts Degree in computer science or related field and three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience with PC/server hardware and software, virtual machines, networking, and data communications and design knowledge.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provide individual and group rehabilitation for children, adolescents, and youth with mental illness;
   
• Provide collateral and family support, crisis intervention, case management as needed at a school site located in Pomona, California;
   
• Provide services in the field and provide transportation to clients as needed;
   
• Provide clients with linkage to community resources;
   
• Document and maintain records as required and as credentialed, include attendance records, daily visit logs, daily and/or weekly interdisciplinary notes, etc.;
