The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate’s qualifications and experience. In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Messenger Clerk classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.

This position works as needed, based on events scheduled in the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria. The Tsakopoulos Library Galleria is attached to the Sacramento Public Library's Central library (downtown) located at 828 I Street in Sacramento.

Under general supervision of the District Secretary, provides professional-level, administrative and support duties for the District Secretary and the Board of Directors. The classification independently performs a wide variety of complex, technical, and time-sensitive administrative duties and assumes the responsibilities for the Assistant District Secretary in his/her absence.
