The County of San Mateo Human Resources Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Human Resources Technician (HR Tech). Talent Acquisition manages recruitment and selection processes to attract and hire a qualified and diverse workforce. THE CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: EMPLOYEE BENEFITS AND WELLNESS

 

There are currently two vacancies within the Employee Benefits and Wellness Division, one is a regular, classified position and the other is a limited term position. Limited term positions are full-time fully benefited, temporary positions. Limited term employees receive medical and dental benefits, like regular employees, and a defined contribution retirement plan (401-A).  This current limited term position is funded for up to one year. 

 

The Employee Benefits and Wellness division administers comprehensive benefits programs and provides direct support to County employees and retirees.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Human Resources Technician:

• Provide frontline customer service via phone, email, and in-person support regarding employee benefits
• Conduct benefits education sessions, trainings, and presentations
• Interpret and explain benefits programs, eligibility, and policies
• Reconcile benefits reports and assist with audits
• Develop dashboards and reports using Excel and other tools
• Analyze and communicate complex benefits data in a clear and concise manner
• Support events such as the annual Benefits Fair

Education and Experience:

• Three years of increasingly responsible administrative support work
• At least two years of human resources-related experience

 

Knowledge of:

• Principles and practices of human resource/personnel administration and management
• Federal, State, and local legislation involving human resource/personnel functions
• Organization, procedures, and operating details of the County or similar public agencies
• Correct English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation
• Modern office methods, procedures, and equipment, including computer systems and HR-related programs and applications

The Judicial Council of California is accepting applications for the position of Senior Fiscal Analyst in the State Budget unit of the Budget Services Sacramento office.

The Senior Fiscal Analyst provides advanced, complex, and specialized analytical and technical budget support to the Judicial Council Facilities Services Capital Outlay program. This position provides fiscal oversight for capital outlay projects and manages the ongoing project close-out activities. Fiscal oversight responsibilities include analyzing and preparing statewide budget reports for management, controlling capital outlay appropriations, reviewing and coding requisitions, preparing and reviewing Capital Outlay budget change proposals (COBCPs), reviewing the updated five-year capital outlay plan, and managing the bond sale process. Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed for relevant education, experience, training and other job related qualifications. Based upon a review of employment applications received, a limited number of the qualified applicants will be invited to participate in the examination process.

The process will consist of an Oral Panel Interview (weighted 80%) and a written exercise (weighted 20%). An eligibility list will be established from those who pass the examination process with a score of 70% or higher. Current and future vacancies may be filled from this list. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

The City of Redwood City Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department invites you to apply for the casual position of Human Services Assistant at the Fair Oaks Community Center (FOCC). FOCC is a multi-service agency that offers a variety of programs and services provided by City staff and non-profit and public agency partners. This position provides a variety of administrative and operational support functions while also providing customer service to customers of all ages and backgrounds. In particular, the Human Services Assistant will support the Information and Referral/Emergency Services Program that provides vital safety net, homelessness intervention, and homelessness prevention services to low-income families, single parents, seniors, disabled persons, persons experiencing homelessness, and individuals seeking assistance in meeting their basic needs and strengthening their economic self-sufficiency.

This is a non-benefited, casual (temporary) position, scheduled to work flexibly, 10-20 hours per week.
