Maintenance Worker Series

Under general supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance and limited construction of the District’s buildings, park amenities, playgrounds, and community pool.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To plan, schedule, evaluate, supervise and participate in the maintenance, repair, and construction of landscaped areas, parks, cemetery, pools, recreational facilities, and park and cemetery buildings. The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a current vacancy, as well as establish an eligibility list for future vacancies. This position will primarily focus on Urban Forestry, as well as park maintenance.

This is an entry-level-level classification. Some positions may require a valid Commercial Applicator’s Certificate and involve mechanized spraying equipment for applying pesticides and herbicides.
