The Principle Development Services Inspector is distinguished from the Senior Building Inspector and Supervising Construction Inspector in that the Principal Development Services Inspector is assigned continuing full supervisory responsibilities over the Senior Building Inspector and Supervising Construction Inspector, professional, technical and support staff; coordinates the activities of inspection operations across the Building, Land Development Engineering and Fire Marshal sections of the Development Services Division; whereas the Senior Building Inspector is responsible to supervise a phase of the inspection program and to perform the more difficult or more specialized inspections. City of Sunnyvale is recruiting a Facility Attendant II to provide essential facility support for Library and Recreation facilities, e.g. Lakewood Branch Library, Community Center (Recreation, Senior Center and Theater). This position independently prepares and maintains facilities, performs light maintenance, monitors use, and ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for staff and the public. The Facility Attendant II also serves as on-site contact during evenings and weekends, assisting customers and part-time or contract staff. About the Position:  The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing all aspects of facilities maintenance for Midpen’s Administrative Office, including building operations, vehicle fleet inspections, landscaped grounds, parking areas, and various physical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, painting, assembly, construction, electrical, data cabling, and security systems.  This unique position has a foundation in older residential property improvements in a rural setting, including spring systems, old style construction including log framing, historic farm building construction, multiple materials and additions to the buildings are all aspects and considerations for repairs and tenant improvements. This position is also responsible for non-routine repairs and improvements at Midpen’s field properties and performs preventative maintenance tasks, repairs, and minor improvement projects. The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will coordinate  and oversee Midpen’s utilization of contractors and act as a point of contact for a wide range  of maintenance and repair tasks. Successful performance in this role requires broad  knowledge of facility maintenance trades and technical principles, as well as a professional background and the ability to effectively collaborate  with other Midpen departments. Work Environment:  This position is part of the  Facilities & Fleet Department and will be required to work onsite Monday through Friday on a 9/80 schedule.  Work will be performed at Midpen’s administrative office in Los Altos, field facilities, and also at residential properties located primarily in the field. May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, be called back after hours and on weekends or respond to and perform work in emergency situations as required.  When conducting field assignments, work may include traversing rough, difficult terrain in inclement or hot weather with exposure to poison oak, wildlife and rodent inhabitants.  Duties will include building and facility work that will require climbing ladders and entering confined spaces.  Ideal candidates will be comfortable working in these types of conditions, as well as in an office environment. • Three (3) years of experience in construction, maintenance, and/or repair of buildings, structures and/or related facilities.

Completion of an apprenticeship program or the equivalent training in one or more of the construction trades is highly desirable.

DESCRIPTION 

The City of Thousand Oaks has an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Analyst within the Facilities Division of the Finance Department. This position supports the analytical, administrative, and operational functions of the Facilities Division, which oversees City Hall, the Civic Arts Plaza theaters, libraries, and other municipal facilities.

This role supports a range of analytical and operational responsibilities, including contract administration, procurement preparation, budgeting support, and data analysis. The Assistant Analyst applies analytical judgment to manage vendor contracts, prepare draft staff reports and RFP materials, and analyze operational information to support effective facilities operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to exercise discretion and independent judgment while balancing multiple priorities.
 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Serve as a key administrative and analytical point of contact for the Facilities Division, ensuring accurate documentation, data integrity, and coordination across functions
• Conduct analytical research on vendors and suppliers, including cost comparisons, service levels, and performance metrics to support procurement decisions
• Monitor, evaluate, and analyze service contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance, performance accountability, and alignment with operational needs

Under general supervision, the Neighborhood Preservation Inspector. ensures compliance with applicable sections of the State, Federal, and Municipal Codes, ordinances, and in relevant areas, such as property maintenance, abandoned vehicles, planning, zoning, signs, community nuisance, and related areas.  This is a classification in the Economic and Community Development Department.

CLASS CHARACTERISITICS:

The Neighborhood Preservation Inspector is the full journey-level classification.  This position requires experience in both Municipal and Zoning Codes and Regulations. Employees at this level are expected to work with property owners independently and to coordinate City resources to solve neighborhood issues.

THE POSITION:

Under the general supervision of the Community Services Manager, the Clinical Supervisor supports with the development and achievement of Youth and Family Services goals and objectives. The Clinical Supervisor provides both clinical and administrative leadership within the Youth and Family Services Division. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the supervision of staff in planning, organizing, delivering, and reporting clinical, case management, and support services for youth, families, and adults, including the coordination of crisis and counseling intervention services. In addition, the Clinical Supervisor provides technical and clinical expertise, guidance, and supervision to a multidisciplinary treatment team and the clinical intern program.

CLASS CHARACTERISTICS:

This classification is a mid-management, journey-level role with first-line supervisory responsibilities, which includes overseeing, coordinating, and leading the planning, assignment, delivery, and evaluation of clinical programs and services, as well as the work of assigned clinical and non-clinical staff and interns. This role requires considerable initiative and independent judgment in developing procedures and standards, as well as in managing the provision of both clinical and non-clinical programs and services.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES (illustrative only):

• Provides highly responsible direct programmatic and administrative support to the Community Services Manager, overseeing the planning, organization, and coordination of services provided by Youth and Family Services, including but not limited to overseeing counseling, case management, mentoring services, and grant funded programming.
• Develops program policies and procedures, implementing consistent standards and practices in clinical operations and addressing changing client and organizational needs.
• Plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, reviews, and evaluates the work of a multidisciplinary team, including clinical staff.

• Ensures that staff remains current in the professional, legal and ethical standards of the profession; provides training and workshops as necessary for clinical and case management staff and interns.
• Develops and fosters relationships with cross-sector of stakeholders, including but not limited to; schools, Union City Police Departments, families, community-based organizations, etc. This includes preparing and facilitating meetings, trainings, workshops, and presentations.
• Coordinates and responds to Union City Police Department to provide urgent clinical and case management support to community members.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for individuals to serve as a Psychiatrist I/II for the Adult Outpatient Clinic/Adult Full Service Partnership (FSP) Department. The Psychiatrist I/II will provide medical and psychiatric treatment and diagnostic services to clients in the caseload of Tri-City and provide collaborative work with a multidisciplinary team in a public mental health agency. Provide integrated, effective, and high-quality behavioral health care to the residents of Pomona, Claremont and La Verne with moderate to severe functional impairment due to mental illness.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Perform intake and diagnostic interviews on a scheduled and emergent basis.
   
• Participate in diagnostic staff evaluation of clients.
   
• Provide medical psychiatric treatment of clients.

DEFINITION

Under general supervision of the Code Enforcement Officer, the Code Enforcement Inspector facilitates compliance with City Municipal codes, ordinances, California Codes, conditions of approval and resolutions relating to public nuisances, planning, zoning, construction, business licensing, animal control and other associated disciplines. Works collaboratively with other City Divisions and Agencies and actively participates as a member of the Code Enforcement Task Force. Tracks, updates and maintains investigations, complaint information and official records. Attends training to maintain or achieve Code Enforcement Officer Certification. Performs related work as required.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Investigate reported or suspected violations of City or California codes, and implement enforcement activities to gain compliance. Issue written notices and warnings, and criminal citations. Educate the public regarding code requirements. Conduct field inspections, gather-supporting evidence, maintain case files (both computer and hard files) and, as necessary, prepare investigation reports regarding violations. May assist in preparing and presenting information to the Planning Commission, City Council, Administrative Hearing Board and courts of law. Participate in and often coordinate joint code enforcement activities with other agencies. Speak before neighborhood and civic groups about the Code Enforcement Program and work closely with such groups to solve neighborhood problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of: Basic code enforcement and investigation techniques; common California Codes relating to property maintenance, municipal codes, ordinances and resolutions related to public nuisances, planning and zoning. Effective and efficient techniques of public education, field inspections for code compliance, gathering and analyzing evidence and data, and preparing and presenting reports.

Ability to: Read, understand, interpret and apply laws, regulations, ordinances, resolutions, policies and other documents associated with enforcement duties. Maintain a positive attitude and work as a highly effective team member of the Code Enforcement Program, Economic and Community Development Department and the Code Enforcement Task Force. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Prepare and make verbal presentations to small and large groups, the Administrative Hearing Board and other official bodies. Prepare factually clear, concise and complete written reports and correspondence. Exercise good customer service skills with the public, outside agencies and staff. Interact tactfully to gain voluntary compliance with City codes. Identify code violations and exercise proper judgment in determining the degree of compliance with various laws and determine appropriate course of action. Assist City staff with interpretation and application of the codes used. Coordinate enforcement and inspection functions with other City departments. Competently use a desktop computer with a main program base such as Office 2010, to record, organize, and monitor all code enforcement activities. Follow established work procedures and practices, including adherence to sound safety practices. Drive a vehicle. Work under stressful and uncomfortable, cold, foggy and rainy climatic conditions. Perform inspections on substandard or unsafe properties, which may require climbing, crawling, kneeling, and bending. Interview witnesses and violators in a highly effective and professional manner. Interact positively and cooperate with co-workers, respond politely to customers, work as a team member, function under demanding time pressure, respond in a positive manner to supervision, and attend work and perform duties on a regular and consistent basis.

Education: Possession of an AA degree in a related field. Additional education and training in writing, public speaking and areas related to code enforcement are desirable.

Experience: A minimum of one year of full-time, relevant public contact experience, with occasional public speaking, requiring problem solving and/or field investigation in code enforcement, law enforcement, investigations, or a comparable field that would provide the requisite knowledge needed to succeed in this position. Experience in the enforcement of municipal, planning and zoning codes and working with building or planning permits at a public or private agency is desirable.

Certifications: Possess, or obtain within 12 months from hire date, current certification as a Code Enforcement Officer from the California Association of Code Enforcement Officers (CACEO); or certification as a Housing Inspector from the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO- through the American Association of Code Enforcement). Certification under Penal Code 832 Module A (California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training) or similar police training is desirable.

License: Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License.
