As a Revenue Integrity Manager - San Mateo Medical Center (Financial Services Manager II), you are responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and oversight of the revenue integrity function. The basis of revenue integrity at San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC) is to prevent recurrence of issues that can cause revenue leakage and/or compliance risks through effective, efficient, replicable processes and internal controls across the continuum of patient care.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• Broad understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle, demonstrated by process improvement initiatives that led to quantitative improvements in revenue cycle performance and key performance indicators. 
• Broad understanding of Medicare and Medicaid (Medi-Cal) regulations and programs demonstrated with a history of working in organizations with revenue sources from Medicare and Medi-Cal.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Healthcare Administration, Master’s degree preferred.
• Seven (7) years of progressive experience in medical billing or revenue cycle operations, including five or more in a leadership role at a hospital or healthcare environment.
• Advanced leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Strong written and oral communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner across functions and departments.
• Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., EPIC)
• HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage the Charge Description Master to ensure inclusion of all billable service codes. Support and facilitate the annual charge description master (CDM) pricing review in alignment with finance and reimbursement policies and guidelines.
• Maintain, review, and revise internal policies, and procedures related to revenue integrity. Communicate and ensure training for such policies and procedures to stakeholders.
• Ensure the effectiveness of the revenue integrity program, including overall consistency and integration of integrity activities throughout the organization.
• Work closely with the CFO and Compliance Officer to ensure that the revenue integrity program meets applicable financial, operational, and legal requirements. Monitor and assess integrity risks and ensure that the revenue integrity program is responsive to those risks.
• Develop key performance indicators for revenue integrity and define targets based on industry standards. Track metrics and report on no less than a monthly basis to the CFO, Revenue Cycle Excellence Committee, and Executive Management Team. Identify barriers to meeting targets and lead related performance improvement activities.
• Perform ongoing monitoring of charge capture patterns, including late charges, charge reconciliation, coding conflicts and charge related denials, to identify and prioritize areas for optimization. 
• Partner with clinical departments to support timely and accurate charge capture. Drive communication of CDM changes to impacted clinical departments
• Support clinical departments related to new revenue initiatives, serve as the subject matter expert in the development of new CDMs to support the new clinical service offering.
• Oversee monitoring of bulletins from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Medi-Cal and other payors. Assess the impact of such bulletins and coordinate with revenue cycle managers to implement changes driven by such informational bulletins; ensure the action plans are implemented accurately and in a timely manner. 
• Consult with the Compliance Officer as needed and serve as liaison to revenue cycle, supporting auditing, data and analytics requests.
• Facilitate revenue cycle participation in compliance audits and investigations, plan and execute internal compliance reviews, audits and activities, and conduct routine internal audits of department revenue capture.   
• Serve as an internal resource for billing-related questions, provide training related to charge capture, and work with various departments to help ensure billing compliance.
• Collaborate with other department managers on relevant aspects of assigned program area; discuss organization problems, develop alternatives strategies for dealing with those problems; assist in implementation of solutions, as necessary.
• Direct, mentor and evaluate staff.  Ensure staff members are knowledgeable about revenue assurance needs and reimbursement issues identified through audits, reviews, and aggregate data analysis.
• Oversee the management of EPIC work queues, identify automation opportunities, and partner with Health Information Technology to address updates or changes needed to optimize revenue cycle performance.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:  
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:

• Three years of increasingly responsible experience performing a wide variety of administrative, financial, managerial or automation duties in a large, complex public agency.

Come lead the Homework Center at the San Bruno Library!

The City of San Bruno Public Library is currently recruiting for a part-time, temporary Library Assistant—Homework Center Supervisor. Candidates must be able to commit from January 2026 to June 2026, for 17 hours per week and availability Monday 2-6PM, Tuesday 2-6PM, Wednesday 1-6PM and Thursday 2-6PM (with the exception of Library and San Bruno Park School District holidays). Although this is a six-month position, the program is ongoing. Continued employment in subsequent school years may be considered based on performance and program needs.

Under the direction of the Library Services Manager, the Library Assistant—Homework Center Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Library's after-school Homework Center, including classroom management, homework help, supervising and training volunteers, collaborating with library staff, and maintaining
accurate records of homework center attendance. The incumbent will be responsible for
maintaining a welcoming place for students to do their homework effectively within the larger context of the library, and for planning STEAM weekly activities and training/supervising students in the use of the 3-D printer. The homework center is a free, drop-in, after-school program for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
 

• Some college coursework

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Old Meadows Community Center - Therapeutic Recreation Unit- Serving youth, teens and young adults with physical and intellectual disabilities

Part-Time position: variable hours; evenings and weekends

Pay Rate: starting at $17.62 an hour

Summary:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of custodial tasks and provides oversight of rental groups, in accordance with District policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist patrons and prospective participants on the phone and in-person
• Assist permit groups with set-up and breakdown of tables, chairs, and other equipment
• Promptly open and unlock facilities or close and secure facilities as scheduled
• Complete facility condition forms following permit group use and incident reports as needed
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions
• Turn athletic field lights off and on for sports groups
• Sell and scan admission tickets special events and/or theater performances

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sweep floors, vacuum carpets, and dust or polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Wash windows, clean restrooms, replenish supplies, and sanitize high touch areas often
• Empty waste receptacles and remove any trash or debris found throughout facility

San Mateo County Parks (SMCP) is currently seeking a full-time extra help Bilingual Community Engagement Intern II.

This position would be based out of Flood and Friendship County Parks and primarily working with the communities surrounding these parks. 

Friendship County Park is located in North Fair Oaks, an unincorporated area of Redwood City. Through community collaboration, the small urban park was developed to provide outdoor recreation facilities and space to promote community gardening. The park is situated on San Francisco Public Utility Commission land and is managed by SMCP. Less than an acre in size, the park features 30 community garden planters, a playground, picnic tables and more. Plot use is through an agreement with SMCP and requires regular participation in meetings. 

Flood County Park is a 21-acre park located in Menlo Park. It is primarily used as a location for family and group picnicking, playground use, and walking by the local community. The park has recently opened a new multi-use sports field, tennis/pickleball court, pump track and more! 

An intern at these locations would work on improving the interpretive elements of each park and provide programming and outreach opportunities for the local communities.

The Bilingual Community Engagement intern will report to Flood Park and be able to drive to Friendship Park and other park locations as needed. The intern will be supervised by the Interpretive Division Park Staff. 

Tentative schedule for this position (subject to change):

• Tuesday – Saturday: 8 hours each day
• 1 – 2 In person workdays
• 2 Virtual workdays (work from home)
• 1 Day for Events/Programming

Examples Of Duties:

A Bilingual Community Engagement Intern would be responsible for:

1. Management of Friendship Park Community Garden, including but not limited to:
   1. Managing garden plot availability and agreements
   2. Being the primary point of contact for Community Garden participants; maintaining regular communications by County phone, text, and email
   3. Working alongside gardeners to identify and address any needs or challenges in maintaining garden beds
   4. Facilitating monthly on-site educational opportunities for gardeners with staff from San Mateo County Health, Sustainability Department, and community partners
   5. Managing on-site garden tools and supplies; identify additional supplies that may be required
2. Community Program Coordination and Outreach, including but not limited to: 
   1. Coordinating and leading programs with Community Based Organizations and Partner Organizations within the community near Friendship and Flood Parks (i.e. Libraries, Schools)
   2. Leading interpretive programs at Friendship and Flood Parks 
   3. Tabling at local community events, such as Farmer’s Markets
   4. Providing translation when needed at programs and events throughout SMCP
   5. Assisting Interpretive Division with educational outreach throughout SMCP
   6. Creating flyers and social media posts to promote SMCP

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will: 

• Have strong interpersonal skills and possess the ability to effectively communicate in English and Spanish with diverse community members and San Mateo County staff to support gardeners. 
• Be an enthusiastic, outgoing, positive, and energetic person who can work collaboratively or independently with little to no supervision. 
• Be open to learning new skills, be flexible with various work projects, and be able to follow directions. 

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Bilingual in Spanish required
• Experience in food growing and garden management desired
• Knowledge of and ability to teach gardening concepts desired
• Ability to engage with individuals of many demographics and histories – youth, seniors, immigrants, economically diverse
• Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to plan programs and events and organize participants and volunteers
• Must have a valid California Driver’s License and transportation available to commute to park sites throughout San Mateo County

This is a full-time position requiring weekend work. 

NOTE: This is an extra-help, at-will assignment, paid on an hourly basis. Some extra help positions are eligible for benefits under the Affordable Care Act. Extra help employees are not guaranteed permanent status at the end of the assignment.

Facility and Sports Field Attendants work in the formal Suisun City classification of Recreation Specialist I. Starting hourly rate will depend on qualifications. This position works on average 19 hours per week.

The Department: The Recreation, Parks and Marina Department is responsible for the operations and programs of the Suisun City Marina, the Senior Center and the Joseph A. Nelson Center, including preschool, after-school programs at various sites, recreation classes and sports leagues, community events and special event rentals.

The Position: Facility and Sports Field Attendants work behind the scenes making all Recreation and Community Services excel! This job entails setting up for events and rentals, opening and closing facilities, general janitorial services, sports field preparation, working in concessions and selling food during sports games. We’re looking for highly motivated people with a customer service orientation who genuinely enjoy helping others and who are flexible problem-solvers.

Pay rate: starting at $18.25 hourly

The Department

The Library and Community Services department is responsible for providing excellent customer service through recreational, educational, and cultural programs for children, adults and seniors. Our facilities include 221 acres of parkland distributed among 13 parks, two libraries, two community centers, two public pools, three childcare centers, two gymnasiums, and one gymnastics center. Included in the parks and recreation areas are tennis and pickleball courts, dog parks, softball diamonds, picnic areas, playgrounds, soccer fields, a skate park, shared use of a performing arts center and open space.  The City of Menlo Park is preparing to open a state-of-the-art new facility that will incorporate a community center, gymnasium, aquatics center, senior center, youth center, and branch library in 2024.
