The Public Works Department is looking to fill two (2) Air Conditioning Mechanic vacancies. The Air Conditioning Mechanic position is responsible for performing HVAC duties at more than 200 civic building sites across San Jose. The position will be responsible for performing the operational support, adjustment, troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems and auxiliary equipment.
This position will require controls experience, mechanical equipment experience, and water treatment experience.
Maintenance Worker I- $57,166.20 - $69,485.87 DOE
Maintenance Worker II- $64,646.40 - $78,578.10 DOE
Performs a variety of routine, heavy, unskilled, semiskilled and skilled manual tasks by operating light and heavy equipment in the Maintenance Department. Usually works on a crew, but may work alone on special assignments.
