The Operations and Maintenance Superintendent (O&M Superintendent) oversees all aspects of wastewater conveyance system operations and maintenance. This position reports to the Operations and Maintenance Manager and supervises and directs assigned staff.
The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Plan Checker I/II in the Building Department within the Community Development & Service Agency. Initially under close supervision, the Plan Checker I/II performs plan and specification review for construction, improvement, remodeling, alteration and repair plans for compliance with codes, ordinances and regulations; performs related work as assigned.
Under general supervision, the Maintenance Worker, performs a variety of semi-skilled work in the maintenance of parks, grounds, trees, recreational facilities, public grounds, storm sewers, sidewalks, medians, street signs and markings, and repair and upkeep of streets. Operates maintenance and construction equipment; and does related work as required.
Under general supervision, the Maintenance Worker is assigned to the Streets and Sewers Division of the Public Works Department and is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks and operating power-driven road maintenance or construction equipment and trucks.
Examples of duties include:
- Operation and maintenance of power-driven street, sewer, and construction equipment
- Cleaning of sewer lines and storm drains
- Performance of concrete work and other construction and street resurfacing projects
Under direct supervision, the Police Officer Trainee attends a Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T) approved Police Basic Recruit Academy and successfully completes the academic and physical training required for appointment to the classification of Police Officer Recruit II. Police Officer Trainees are considered at-will employees. Police officer probationary status begins when the trainee is sworn in as a Police Officer Recruit II after completion of the police academy.
