This position is housed in the Mental Health division of the Health and Human Services Agency. Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of para-professional and complex duties for eligible individuals, families, and groups. If they do not already have the knowledge, this person will have the ability to learn federal, state, and local policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.
 

JOB DUTIES

• Plans, assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of employees performing journey level case management; selects, trains, evaluates, and disciplines subordinate staff.
• Assess client’s basic living requirements and assist in obtaining assistance as necessary; serve as an advocate for clients in court as necessary.
• Leads and/or participates in developing and implementing community service, outreach and client advocacy programs.
• Provide program information to the community.
• Attend meetings, training and workshops with other departments, government agencies and local agencies in matters regarding mental and public health services issues.

This position is located in the Drug & Alcohol/ Substance Use Disorder Services division in the Behavioral Health Department at the Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency. Under general direction this position plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities and staff for a variety of County Health and Human Services Agency programs. This position works under the direction of the Assistant Director or Director. This position is full-time and scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

JOB DUTIES

• Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives for department programs; establish schedules methods for services; implement department policies and procedures.
• Coordinate department activities with other departments, divisions, sections and outside agencies and organizations.
• Interpret laws and regulations, including new laws and proposed legislation, to determine relevancy to department operations and services, and assess program compliance with laws and regulations.
• Serve as an internal technical expert regarding program matters by providing consultation and guidance to staff regarding problems with complex social service cases and delivery of services, and taking corrective actions to improve the quality and efficiency of social services.
• Prepare grant, budget, and other material such as requests for proposals, requests for qualifications, and other information, as needed by the program.
