The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is hiring one (1) Sr. Engineering Technician (SET) position. This position is a middle level class in the Engineering Technical series. This position works under the general supervision of a Supervising Environmental Service Specialist. The CIP SET position will be responsible for supporting the program management workgroup. This position will assist with document management; program and project performance tracking and reporting; and day-to-day administration of program control systems, tools and procedures. Typical duties for this position include the following:
- Coordinate document management throughout the program including:
- Establishing and maintaining electronic libraries

- Organizing hardcopy files in physical libraries

- Managing documents on the CIP SharePoint site

- Implementing city document retention policy

- Assisting with overall project file management and closeout activities

- Coordinating regular updates to the Program Execution Plan (PEP).

- Provide non-technical support during the planning and implementation stages of the CIP SharePoint Portal migration including scheduling meetings and gathering data.

- Assist with updating and maintaining project and program schedules in Primavera.
- Assist with developing content for CIP webpages on the City’s website, and social media posts, and events such as vendor open house, project commissioning or groundbreaking.

- Assist with program reporting tasks, including collecting data, formatting final reports, and preparing graphics or other material for associated presentations.

- Interface effectively with consultants, contractors, operations and maintenance staff, and other city department staff.
