San Mateo County Health, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) division is seeking well-qualified individuals for the position of Clinical Services Manager II – Behavioral Health Housing Interventions.  
 
This full-time permanent Clinical Services Manager II will serve as a strategic and technical subject matter expert responsible for overseeing a key emerging priority area for BHRS. The position will be responsible for successful implementation of Proposition 1 Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) Housing Interventions requirements and other housing-related strategies for individuals living with serious mental illness and substance use disorders. This role will lead and support BHRS teams with mapping and documenting the current state of behavioral health housing workflows, systems and processes to inform changes and decision making required to support improvement of client outcomes and increased access to permanent supportive housing. The Clinical Services Manager II will collaborate with clinical and operational leadership, data analysts, consultants, community-based providers, managed care plans, housing and homeless service providers, and other key stakeholders to ensure that implementation solutions lead to a seamless experience for the most vulnerable behavioral health clients. 

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Demonstrated expertise in implementing Housing First principles and evidence-based housing interventions to support behavioral health clients.
• A proven record of success in behavioral health program supervision and oversight
• Collaborative, hands-on leadership abilities, with capability of guiding change management, implementing new and innovative solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving clinical efficiency and client care.
• Experience collaborating effectively for system-level coordination with other county departments, housing developers, service providers, health jurisdictions, and other stakeholders.
• At least five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in behavioral health systems, clinical operations and stakeholder engagement and coordination, including two (2) years in a supervisory or lead capacity.
• Knowledge of public sector behavioral health systems, Medi-Cal billing, and state regulatory reporting requirements is preferred.

About Canyon Vista

Canyon Vista is one of several housing projects that supports behavioral health clients.   Canyon Vista is located on the Cordilleras Health and Healing Center Campus in Redwood City.  Telecare provides onsite support for the residents, and Abode oversees property management.   Canyon Vista consists of 57 co-housing units, 27 permanent units and 28 transitional units.  The transitional units includes 15 dedicated Behavioral Health Bridge Housing units.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification: 

• Requires possession of a clinical license in psychology, social work, nursing, marriage and family therapy or the equivalent.

Education and Experience: 

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying.  A typical way to qualify is:

Clinical Services Manager II – Mental Health: Three years of increasingly responsible experience in a mental health or related health services program, including at least two years of significant responsibility for one or more of the following:  program and budget development, funding, utilization, coordination of community resources or program evaluation.

About the Position

Positions in this classification perform work in the organization and implementation of a wide variety of recreation activities. 

The work schedule will be Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-9:00pm but may vary based on the needs of the City.

The Program Coordinator classification is the top-level position in the Recreation Leader Series.  Advancement from Recreation Leader Level II to Program Coordinator requires 500 hours of work experience at Recreation Leader Level II, or equivalent experience.

May provide functional supervision to a Recreation Leader I or II as assigned.  Receives general supervision from a full-time Recreation Department staff member.

THE POSITION 

Depending upon class level and assignment, duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Review and examine construction documents, plans and specifications for one and two family, and multi-family residential, and basic commercial and industrial projects.
• Conduct plan checks on commercial and residential building structures; review structural calculations, fire resistance requirements, earthquake resistance and soils engineering. Conducts plan checks for commercial buildings to be remodeled and/or altered.
• Confer over the phone or in person with homeowners, builders, engineers, contractors, architects and the public to give information and interpret building codes and regulations and permit requirements; recommends necessary changes to obtain compliance with applicable building and zoning codes and regulations.
• Review corrected plans for conformity with requirements; ensures that proper building permit requirements are met.

San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Supervising Mental Health Clinician to lead the Older Adult System of Integrated Services (OASIS) team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of homebound older adults living with serious mental illness. 

 

As a Supervising Mental Health Clinician, you’ll oversee a dedicated, multidisciplinary team of clinicians, nurses, psychiatrists, peer specialists, interns and vocational rehabilitation trainees who deliver field-based, recovery-oriented care throughout San Mateo County. You’ll provide clinical supervision, guide daily operations, coordinate new referrals, and ensure timely documentation and service delivery. 

In this leadership role, you’ll balance program management with direct clinical work, maintaining a small caseload and supporting staff through complex client situations and field-based crises. You’ll also play a vital part in shaping the next generation of providers by orienting resident physicians and mentoring licensed and pre-licensed staff.

• Experience supervising and leading multidisciplinary teams (licensed and unlicensed clinicians, psychiatry residents, nurses, peers, vocational trainees) and providing leadership in multicultural, multidisciplinary workforce environments.
• Experience working with diverse cultures, conducting community outreach, and applying trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approaches to treatment.
• Ability to process new and transfer cases, including entry-to-care and no-wrong-door policies.
• Experience collaborating with a wide range of older adult service partners, including residential care providers, healthcare and insurance entities, advocacy programs, social services, and community-based organizations.
• Experience supporting clients who receive services through programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to participate in interdisciplinary meetings and coordinate complex case conferences with medical and behavioral health providers.
• Experience conducting utilization review and contributing to quality improvement activities.
• Ability to use data to analyze service delivery and maintain accurate records for annual reporting.

The Supervising Mental Health Clinician is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Leadership, Supervision & Program Management

• Serve as Unit Supervisor, planning, assigning, training, and supervising interdisciplinary clinical staff, interns, and trainees.
• Complete annual evaluations and address personnel concerns.
• Plan, implement, and coordinate all unit activities and ensure program procedures comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Participate in administrative and leadership meetings to develop program plans and review operations.
• Maintain unit records, collect statistical data, and prepare annual program reports.
• Lead clinical meetings, coordinate complex case conferences, and ensure documentation is accurate and timely.

• Attend multidisciplinary meetings, including with Ron Robinson Senior Care and other assigned committees or workgroups.
• Collaborate with service providers supporting older adults connected with the Golden Gate Regional Center.

Program Operations

• Monitor and consult with contract providers to ensure compliance and resolve service issues.
• Provide both client-centered and program-centered consultation and community education to external agencies.
• Ensure coverage for Officer of the Day assignments.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification: Possession of a current California license in at least one of the following: Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapy.
 
Education and Experience:  Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is a Master's degree in a mental health specialty, such as social work, nursing, or clinical counseling and two years of professional post-graduate experience in a mental health setting.

DEFINITION

EDUCATION AND TRAINING GUIDELINES

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities. A typical way would be:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Technical training and/or a degree in building inspection technology, civil engineering, or a related field is desirable.

Experience: Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience as an inspector of construction for public works and engineering projects or a Building Inspector with a Municipal Building Department performing combination inspections.

Licenses: Must possess and maintain a valid Class C California Driver’s License issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles and a satisfactory driving record. Certifications such as Combination Inspector or related are preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical agility adequate to inspect construction sites. Requires physical flexibility and dexterity, including the ability to continually stand, bend, stoop, reach, and crouch. Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, hear voices, and operate telephones. • Performs cleanup of the plant, removing trash, washing down decks, and clearing leaves and branches from storm drains; cleans tools and makes sure equipment is in proper locations and power tools are in safe working condition;
• Changes oil and filters on various pumps and compressors in the plant; maintains safety inspections of fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, and ladders in the plant;
• Removes and replaces packing from various pumps in the plant; installs new rings of packing with new Lantern rings if damaged; applies grease to the new set of packing for proper lubrication; removes corrosion or debris from packing gland before reinstalling;
• Evaluates pump performance and flow rate to determine if pump has excessive buildup of rags that is affecting its performance and efficiency; shuts down pumps to remove rags from impeller and clears any obstructions;
• Replaces damaged parts/fittings on leaking chemical feed pumps; makes alterations to existing supply tubing or fittings, replacing clamps or O-rings, or removing debris caught in the check valves; inspects, tests, calibrates, adjusts, cleans, and paints equipment in the water pollution control plant; and
• Performs related duties as assigned.

JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of: Principles, practices, and techniques of the installation, maintenance, and repair of water treatment plan systems; operation of various hand and power tools; proper procedures to safely perform maintenance on machinery and equipment in the plant; maintenance for MP2 program; recording and updating repair history on water pollution control plant equipment; how to create new work orders and close out completed work orders; forklift operations and scissor lift; replacing, repairing, and installing piping, fittings, and valves on water pollution control equipment; data entry of important, vital information regarding maintenance repairs; performance and evaluation on future preventative maintenance in the WPCP MP2 program; proper protective equipment.

Ability to: Drive and operate vehicles and equipment safely; keep inventory, order, and stock necessary parts and supplies for the maintenance shop; establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of the work; adhere to prescribed policies, procedures, routines, and practices; carry out assignments with minimal instructions; read and understand written instructions, maps, equipment operation manuals, and other written documents associated with the work; effectively schedule work; effectively keep written records.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING GUIDELINES

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities. A typical way would be:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Technical training in a water treatment plant system or related field is desirable.

Experience: One (1) year of full-time experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of pollution control plant and sewage pumping facilities.

Licenses: Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license, obtain and maintain a California Class B Driver’s License, and a satisfactory driving record. CWEA Certification as a Grade I Mechanical Technologist.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Respond to work at any hour of the day or night, within designated timeframe, as required during afterhours, weekend service, and/or emergency situations; carry communication equipment in order to respond after work hours. Vision, hearing, and physical ability adequate to obtain and maintain a California Class B Driver’s License; speak clearly and understandably. Requires moderate and sometimes strenuous exertion including bending, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, lifting, twisting, digging, carrying, and/or handling material weighing up to one hundred (100) pounds. Work in confined spaces and wear protective equipment. May work in conditions that require exposure to noise, odors, chemical and biological agents, gases, and contact with sanitary wastewater; work at heights up to 20 feet; work in varying temperatures of cold and heat, and in inclement weather for extended periods of time; work in conditions that may contain dust, mold, and various chemicals.

Come lead the Homework Center at the San Bruno Library!

The City of San Bruno Public Library is currently recruiting for a part-time, temporary Library Assistant—Homework Center Supervisor. Candidates must be able to commit from January 2026 to June 2026, for 17 hours per week and availability Monday 2-6PM, Tuesday 2-6PM, Wednesday 1-6PM and Thursday 2-6PM (with the exception of Library and San Bruno Park School District holidays). Although this is a six-month position, the program is ongoing. Continued employment in subsequent school years may be considered based on performance and program needs.

Under the direction of the Library Services Manager, the Library Assistant—Homework Center Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Library's after-school Homework Center, including classroom management, homework help, supervising and training volunteers, collaborating with library staff, and maintaining
accurate records of homework center attendance. The incumbent will be responsible for
maintaining a welcoming place for students to do their homework effectively within the larger context of the library, and for planning STEAM weekly activities and training/supervising students in the use of the 3-D printer. The homework center is a free, drop-in, after-school program for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
 

• Some college coursework
   
• Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
   
• Ability to assist students with homework and computer skills
   
• Ability to relate to the public in a tactful and effective manner

IDEAL CANDIDATE
