POLICE ASSISTANT
Salary Range: $20.84 to $32.41/hour; non-benefitted position, DOE
DEFINITION
The Police Assistant is a civilian, non-sworn, uniformed position that is responsible for a variety of customer service-based interactions with the community. Duties include non-hazardous enforcement of municipal parking laws and regulations as well as clerical front counter tasks related to phone and walk-in contacts at the police department.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
The PERS Annuitant position is assigned as a Professional Services Specialist in the Police Department. This role involves assisting with various programs and services. The position is temporary and part-time, with hours up to an average of 20 hours a week that may not exceed 960 hours in the fiscal year.
Examples of Job Duties:
Provide support in police officer recruitment, including communicating with applicants and coordinating with the Human Resources Department to facilitate an efficient and seamless hiring process.
Program Assistant - Receptionist
Salary Range: $18.52 - $30.68/hour, depending on experience.
DEFINITION
Perform a wide variety of general clerical and/ or operational support duties at the Danville Community Center and/ or Senior Center. Incumbent serves as the facility receptionist, assisting with customer service-related questions and issues, and directing callers and visitors according to established procedures.
