Description
The PERS Annuitant position is assigned as a Professional Services Specialist in the Police Department. This role involves assisting with various programs and services. The position is temporary and part-time, with hours up to an average of 20 hours a week that may not exceed 960 hours in the fiscal year.
Examples of Job Duties:
Provide support in police officer recruitment, including communicating with applicants and coordinating with the Human Resources Department to facilitate an efficient and seamless hiring process.

This position does not accrue any service credit or additional retirement rights or benefits.
Without exception, a maximum of 960 hours can be worked within a fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). Nonpaid or volunteer hours cannot be used to exceed 960 hours in a fiscal year.
This position is not paid any other compensation or benefits in addition to the hourly pay rate.
