The City of Thousand Oaks has an excellent opportunity in the Facilities Division! We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Analyst to assist with the overall planning, administration, and organizational needs of the Facilities Division services. The Facilities Division is responsible for the Civic Arts Plaza (City Hall & theaters), two libraries, and various other city locations.

The Assistant Analyst (Facilities) must possess excellent customer service and communication skills, be self-motivated, exercise discretion and independent judgment, and handle responsibilities with competence and professionalism.

Primary responsibilities:

• Serve as the main administrative point of contact for the division
• Assist with researching and obtaining quotes/proposals for vendors and suppliers
• Monitor and review service contracts and agreements, ensuring appropriate contracts are in place
• Assist with budget preparation, including collecting, tracking, and reconciling data

The Fiscal Analyst I position, performs varied and complex professional accounting and financial analysis work relating to various grants and programs; fiscal and contract management; fiscal program analysis and compliance; prepares analytical, narrative, statistical, accounting and financial reports; develops and monitors budgets; and prepares financial statements and reports and related duties as required. Fiscal Analyst I is the entry-level classification in the Fiscal Analyst series. Incumbents in this class work under supervision. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week, is an in-person position and located in Glenn County, California.  

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepares reports and analysis on accounting activities relating to funds, grants, and programs.
• Prepares various financial statements including worksheets, balance sheets, income statements, statements of cash flow, adjusting and closing balance sheets, depreciation  schedules, allocation schedules, and cost reports.
• Reconciles accounts.
• Compiles and analyzes data. 
• Works to determine reasons for significant differences between anticipated revenues, expenditures and fund balances in department budgets. 

THE POSITION
The Deputy Director of the Public Works Agency plays a critical leadership role overseeing the Roads and Engineering Divisions. This position is responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of major infrastructure projects, public works programs, and disaster recovery initiatives. Working under the general direction of the Agency Director, the Deputy Director provides strategic direction, operational oversight, and interdepartmental coordination to ensure efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance, and community engagement. The role also serves as Acting Director in the Director’s absence and represents the agency in meetings with officials, stakeholders, and the public. The City of Live Oak is seeking a dynamic, visionary, and experienced leader to serve as the Community and Economic Development Director. This key position will oversee the planning, implementation, and coordination of community development initiatives, economic growth strategies, and planning projects to enhance the City's growth and quality of life. 

Under general administrative direction of the City Manager, plans, directs, manages, and oversees the activities and operations of the Community and Economic Development Department including planning, building inspection and compliance, code enforcement, affordable housing, economic development, and related services; coordinates assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies; and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the City Manager.

The Community and Economic Development Director is an “at -will” employee of the City and serves at the pleasure of the City Manager. • Oversees building plan check, building inspection, and code enforcement, planning activities, and ensures compliance with appropriate laws, ordinances, and regulations.

• Prepares and reviews complex documents including development agreements, specific and master plans including financing implementation plans and related contracts; testifies in court as an expert witness for the City on development related matters.
• Explains, justifies, and defends department programs, policies, and activities; negotiates and resolves sensitive and controversial issues.
• Gathers, tracks, and analyzes local, regional, and state economic and market indicators and other data, draws appropriate conclusions, and makes appropriate recommendations; conducts research regarding economic conditions and trends in the local area and makes recommendations for programs and activities for the City; identifies target industries based on operating, workforce, distribution, and infrastructure criteria, and City objectives.

 Under general supervision, the Courier makes pickup and delivery of District inter-office mail, supplies, and equipment in accordance with District policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate a District vehicle to pick up and deliver items from all District facilities on a daily basis
• Pick up the daily deposit from community centers and ensure its safe delivery to accounting
• Move transportable equipment among district locations as requested
• Prepare outgoing mail, operate postage machine, and maintain records of postage used
• Maintain copy room supply inventory; submit office supply requisitions as needed
• Organize supplies and tidy copy room storage cabinets and workspaces
• Routinely inspect and maintain District vehicle driven, including checking fluid levels, replenishing fuel, and notifying supervisor of maintenance problems with vehicle or need for routine service

Qualifications:

The Emergency Dispatcher I/II position in the Sheriff’s Department performs a variety of difficult work in the provision of 24-hour-per-day, seven-days-per-week public safety emergency dispatch service, including all 911 communications. Emergency Dispatcher I is the entry level class in the Emergency Dispatcher series.  It differs from Emergency Dispatcher II in that the II level is fully trained as a dispatcher and may provide training for the Dispatcher I. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Receives incoming calls from the public; determines type of assistance required, including law enforcement, fire or ambulance personnel, etc., and dispatches emergency and non-emergency radio and telephone communications to appropriate jurisdictions and agencies.
• Operates a law enforcement 911 communications network.
• Maintains radio communications with field personnel as necessary to relay messages and information, and to determine the location and safety of field personnel.
