Under direction, the Dispatcher/Records Supervisor performs a wide variety of confidential law enforcement and clerical records maintenance and emergency services dispatching. Assists in designing and implementing procedures, methods, programs and departmental goals and objectives; responsible for the efficient accomplishment of the daily activities of an assigned work group; exercises direct supervision over staff; and performs related work as assigned.

SALARY RANGE:
Dispatch/Records Supervisor – $4,907.72 to $5,965.37 per month

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

The Dispatcher/Records Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising the work of specific non-sworn classifications; adhering to State and Federal guidelines regarding records maintenance. Limited direction is provided by the Support Services Manager.

Provides continuous leadership in carrying out the program mission, as amended from time to time, including:

• Assign work, schedule shifts for assigned personnel, proof and review work and provide technical assistance to communications and records clerk personnel involving warrants, bail, abstracts, and other offender records.

• Assist in developing and implementing police records communications and teletype systems and procedures.

• Type, file, and index police reports.

• Receive reports and complaints from the public over the phone and at the desk.

• Prepare periodic operating and statistical reports from accumulated data.

• Supervise and assist in the radio dispatch of emergency personnel and equipment.

Summary:
Under supervision, performs routine semi-skilled to skilled grounds landscaping and maintenance work; performs preventive maintenance of District properties; and performs other related duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists with planting and removing trees, shrubs and plants; prunes shrubs and trees to shape and encourage growth, using hand and power saws as assigned.
• Assists with the installation, repair and maintenance of irrigation systems.

• Operates a variety of power tools, hand tools and motor-driven equipment such as trucks and tractors.

Qualifications:

The City of Thousand Oaks Public Works Department is seeking an Assistant Analyst to support the Sustainability Division in advancing the City’s sustainability and energy initiatives. This position plays a key role in managing and analyzing complex data related to energy, water, waste, and electric vehicle infrastructure, while supporting implementation of the Climate and Environmental Action Plan (CEAP).

The Assistant Analyst assists with benchmarking, reporting, GIS mapping, and coordination of external energy programs, as well as contract development and tracking funding opportunities to ensure compliance and maximize program impact. Through public outreach, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement efforts, this role helps advance innovative solutions that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and the City’s long-term sustainability and environmental goals.

SALARY 

The anticipated hiring range for the Assistant Analyst position is $80,594 - $100,743 annually, with a full salary range up to $120,892. The City typically makes offers within the hiring range based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. 
 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Support in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing sustainability data, including energy, water, waste, and EV charging
• Assist with the development of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for internal and public use
• Support sustainability benchmarking, ongoing reporting, and greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory updates
• Assist with CEAP implementation through data updates, progress tracking, KPI reporting, and documentation

This position performs a variety of paraprofessional technical and customer service functions supporting the Building Division. Description

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking a high-performing Senior Planner to lead complex development and long-range planning initiatives in one of Southern California’s most desirable communities. This position plays a key role in sharing residential, mixed-use, commercial, and downtown revitalization projects while advancing the City’s General Plan and environmental review efforts.   

We are seeking an innovative, collaborative individual to conduct a variety of planning duties with competence and professionalism. The Senior Planner must be an excellent team player with a track record of excellent judgement who has demonstrated initiative and been successful in improving processes.

The Senior Planner will assume a lead role in complex planning and development projects, including residential, mixed-use, commercial, industrial, and institutional proposals, and may assist in the preparation of environmental documents (both internally and through planning consultants).  The Senior Planner may also process legislative applications, such as zone changes and General Plan amendments, and occasionally assist with open space planning/natural resource management projects.

Primary responsibilities:

• Serve as project manager for complex development applications, exercising independent judgment in interpreting policies, coordinating multi-departmental review, and guiding projects through entitlement and public hearing processes. Lead and contribute to long-range planning initiatives, including implementation of the General Plan and participation in comprehensive updates. initiatives
