Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) is the Bay Area's newest transit service providing commuter rail transportation to Marin and Sonoma Counties. We are seeking experienced and motivated individuals who enjoy working with new equipment, creating new processes and systems, and motivating a staff to maintain and operate a first class public service. The Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a vehicle maintenance operation in a commuter rail environment.
The City of American Canyon is seeking individuals who will perform a wide variety of general clerical work in support of an assigned function; to provide customer service in-person and on the phone; and to provide information and assistance to staff and the public. This position will work during the day and on a part-time basis. The position is considered temporary/part-time and is limited to no more than 1,000 hours per fiscal year.
THE SELECTION PROCESS
The position will be responsible for Development Engineering. The selected candidate will work with developers and their engineers reviewing proposed development plans, issuing “will-serve” letters, determining development conditions and creating development agreements on all development projects within the City. The engineer will insure that public improvements meet all City standards. Experience either as a municipal development engineer or as a consultant working on development projects is desirable.
