SALARY 

The anticipated hiring range for the Information Technology (IT) Manager position is $142,491 - $178,114 annually, with a full salary range up to $213,737 annually. The City typically makes offers within the hiring range based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. 

DESCRIPTION 

The City is seeking a strategic and collaborative IT Manager to join the newly established IT Department! In this key leadership role, you will oversee the City’s infrastructure and operations division, including cybersecurity, information systems, data center, network infrastructure, and help desk, while guiding technology strategy that supports operations across all departments.  

The position is responsible for managing IT staff, system implementations and upgrades, partnering in the development of long-term technology plans, and ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient IT services. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader with strong technical expertise, project management experience, and the ability to partner with the Chief Technology Officer and Deputy Chief Technology Officer to implement technology solutions that improve operations and service delivery. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop and implement IT strategic plans, policies, and procedures to support citywide information systems and departmental priorities. 

• Lead, supervise, and evaluate IT staff, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and disciplinary actions when necessary. 

• Oversee the City’s cybersecurity infrastructure and education plan 

• Oversee systems development, implementation, and maintenance of hardware, software, applications, and data processing services across City departments.

The Position

The Environmental Compliance Inspector performs inspections and sampling of industrial, commercial and residential sources of discharge to the City’s sanitary sewer and storm drain systems to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; inspects hazardous materials storage areas; responds to reports of illicit discharges; performs water quality testing; and conducts public outreach activities.  This classification is distinguished from all other technical and professional classifications in the City by its specialized assignments in support of a variety of environmental compliance programs.  The duties of the class involve courteous, effective and tactful interaction with the community to ensure compliance with wastewater and stormwater discharge regulations.  Persons assigned to this class perform or assist in performing all functions associated with the City’s Source Control (Pretreatment and Pollution Prevention) and Stormwater programs.  This position reports to the Regulatory Compliance Manager or higher level department personnel.

Some additional duties may also include the following:

• Enforce wastewater and stormwater discharge ordinances.
• Conduct on-site inspections of industrial and commercial businesses for compliance with the City’s sanitary sewer and stormwater ordinances.
• Initiate enforcement actions (e.g., issue notices of violation, administrative citations) to persons or businesses in violation of the City’s sanitary sewer and stormwater ordinances.
• Perform field investigations relative to water pollution incidents and/or complaints.
• Collect water samples and perform water quality testing in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Calibrate and utilize sampling and/or monitoring equipment at appropriate locations; maintain and repair samplers and monitoring equipment.
• Work cooperatively with representatives of other City and County departments to ensure industrial, commercial, and residential conformance with City ordinances.
• Conduct field surveys as necessary to identify the source of or characterize (1) industrial discharges or excessive infiltration and inflow to the City’s sanitary sewer system; and (2) illicit discharges to the City’s storm drain system.
• Keep detailed inspection and follow-up records; maintain organized inspection files and records, both in hard copy and electronic formats.
• Assist with fulfilling wastewater and stormwater regulatory requirements, such as public outreach and education, trash load reduction efforts, and other regulatory requirements, as assigned.
• Measure landfill monitoring well water levels.
• Attend and participate in various technical committees of the San Mateo Countywide Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program.
• Attend workshops and training sessions to maintain job skills that are current with existing, new and changing regulations.
• Organize and participate in litter cleanups as required for Stormwater Permit compliance.
• Purchase required equipment and supplies as needed.
• Present pollution prevention information to various audiences as assigned.
• Work irregular or extended hours as necessary to respond to reports of illicit discharges, collect samples and/or conduct inspections.

The Director, Fare & Revenue Programs is responsible for directing all fare related programs including fare strategy, media, systems, and administration and revenue accounting for the San Mateo County Transit District (SamTrans), the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board (Caltrain), the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA) and the San Mateo County 101 Express Lanes Joint Powers Authority (EL) known collectively as the District. The Director ensures that approved fare initiatives are implemented effectively, operationally feasible, and financially sound.
This position provides strategic and operational oversight of fare systems and District revenue programs and ensures the cross-departmental coordination needed to implement policies, system changes, and operational requirements.
The Director, Fare & Revenue Programs reports to the Chief Financial Officer. The Director has 10 staff including the Manager of Fare Program Operations and the Manager of Revenue Management.

Essential Functions & Duties:

Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the District’s fare programs and revenue generating activities such as fare collections and real estate holdings, ensuring effective implementation of policies, systems, and programs.
• Advise executive leadership and cross functional partners on revenue policies and fare strategies, examining the potential impacts, implementation risks, and operational constraints associated with changes.
• Direct revenue management including fare revenue and fare media; participate in various internal and external policy settings boards, including Title VI compliance and reporting.
• Oversee revenue collection programs including accounting, auditing and financial reporting for all fare types for Caltrain, SamTrans, TA, and EL.
• Coordinate and guide the execution of fare initiatives approved by the Planning Department and Board, ensuring operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and alignment with agency objectives.
• Responsible for the SamTrans and Caltrain fare systems, infrastructure, and programs.
• Oversee revenue accounting, reconciliation, internal controls, and reporting across defined revenue streams, including fare media, real estate, and other District assets, ensuring accuracy, audit readiness, and data integrity.
• Oversee coordination with regional partners, including Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), to advance fare system initiatives and integrate with broader revenue strategies.
• Direct the development and continuous improvement of revenue and fare-related procedures, documentation, and audit processes to enhance efficiency, compliance, and operational performance.
• Work cross-functionally with internal departments including Planning, Finance, and Communications to ensure successful execution of key projects for the Department.

The San Mateo Medical Center's Patient Financial Services Department is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Patient Services Supervisor - Hospital Billing and Follow Up.

The Patient Services Supervisor-Hospital Billing and Follow Up is responsible for:

• Supervising and managing A/R (accounts receivable) follow-up staff.
• Ensuring timely and effective insurance and patient account collections.

The Senior Accountant plans, oversees, coordinates, and monitors a significant accounting functional area; performs complex professional accounting work relative to either centralized and/or departmental County accounting procedures and records; and performs journal entries providing clear, concise, and adequate supporting documentation and calculations that are GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and GASB (Governmental Accounting Standards Board) compliant.

In general, incumbents in this class exercise a high degree of independent judgment on diverse and specialized projects and have significant accountability and ongoing decision making associated with their work. The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable process and ensuring that vendor invoices are reviewed, approved, and paid accurately and on time. They supervise the AP team, assign tasks, and help resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors or internal departments. The role also includes managing payment schedules, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls. In addition, the AP Leader supports month-end closing, reconciles accounts, prepares reports, and helps improve AP processes for better efficiency. The Disbursement department ensures that its financial transactions are conducted in compliance with County established internal controls, governmental regulations, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The department plays a critical role in supporting decision-making processes by providing financial analysis and insights to San Mateo Medical Center and Health System leadership.

The ideal candidate will:

• Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in accounting, finance, data analytics, statistics, or a closely related field
• Have 3-5 years of journey level accounting experience, preferably in healthcare, hospital or closely related settings

San Mateo County Health's Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) Division has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Services Manager I -Nursing (CSM I) in Behavioral Health and Recovery Services. This position has a leadership component and will be part of the Management leadership team, and report to the Medical Director. This CSM I Nursing Manager will provide clinical supervision, consultation and training to the Community Mental Health nurses who provide services to adult outpatient and field-based teams, throughout the County of San Mateo, BHRS.

The Clinical Services Manager I-Nursing manager will provide clinical supervision for the Community Mental Health nurses, participate in the overall management of division and inter-division nurse issues, train and provide orientation to a dedicated and experienced nursing team, develop clear and consistent policies and procedures for nursing practice at BHRS, for necessary standardization of practice, quality onboarding of new staff, continuous training, oversight of practice, and quality control. The CSM I Nursing will Co-Chair the Infection Control Committee (ICC).

The CSM I Nursing manager direct care role, will provide nursing support to outpatient teams, providing psychiatric assessments, clinical case management services, medication therapy and individual, group and family counseling. They will work with acute hospitals and community resources to coordinate clients' clinical care and recovery services.

This is a full-time 40-hour per week position. This position will have an office located at 2000 Alameda De Las Pulgas, but will travel throughout San Mateo County and out of the county.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• A Master's degree in Psychiatric Nursing.
• A minimum of one-year experience in an outpatient community mental health setting.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

The City of San Bruno Community Services Departments is hiring for a Library Page position at the San Bruno Public Library. The Library Page position is an entry-level, part-time role with limited benefits. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in playing a key role in the library's daily operations. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be available to work 14-19 hours per week, including weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays, to meet the library's scheduling needs.

Under the general supervision of library staff, Library Pages perform routine tasks to maintain the organization of the library collections, including the shelving, sorting, and filing of books, magazines, audiovisual materials, and other library materials. Pages also clean and mend library materials, help set-up for various Library programs, assist in the opening and closing of the Library building for public access, and perform other clerical tasks as needed.

The County Executive’s Office is seeking a well-qualified Assistant County Chief Financial Officer (Assistant County CFO) to join a high-performing team of public finance professionals supporting the County of San Mateo’s fiscal stewardship and service delivery.
