San Mateo County Health is seeking well-qualified individuals for the position of Electronic Health Record Analyst II to, under supervision, provide direct application support and user training for SMC Health’s electronic health record (EHR) system; direct, install and maintain EHR applications and related security and interface; support the design, development, implementation, testing, update, integration and maintenance of system configuration, set-up and application tables; determine user, system and application needs and evaluate solutions to address needs; provide data analysis, report development, and technical assistance to system users; and perform related duties as required.

There are currently several regular vacancies in the Health IT Division located in South San Francisco or San Mateo, CA, and will require travel/driving throughout the county to perform job duties. This position is currently hybrid, with both on-site and remote work based on business need and subject to change.

• Epic certification and work experience.

Examples Of Duties:

The duties of the position may include, but are not limited to, the following:  

• Collect, analyze, and document business operations and workflows.
• Meets with department customers to assess EHR requests and provide guidance on how to detail business needs.
• Identify, analyze, and recommend improvements and enhancements to operational processes, system automation, and information flows to ensure greater integration of functions within the organization.

Education and Experience:

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying.   A typical way to qualify is:

EHR Analyst II: Two years of information technology support experience in a healthcare operation setting, including at least six months of Epic user support experience.

 

License/Certification

EHR Analyst II: (1) Epic Certification in one module; and (2) maintain Epic training credentials through Epic's Continuing Epic Education (CEE) program with additional training that must be completed to maintain certifications, proficiencies, and badges. 

 

For internal Health IT candidates only applying for II during initial Epic Implementation Plan: Epic Certification in one module determined by Health IT management by date set forth in the Epic Project Training schedule.

Under general supervision, the Lifeguard/Swim Instructor I/II performs routine public contact and safety work in serving as a pool lifeguard. This temporary, parttime position requires working up to 20 hours per week. • Monitor the swimming pool and enforce safety regulations.

Under general direction of the Director of Public Works, plans, directs and supervises all
functions of the Engineering Division and coordinates its activities with other divisions of

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of: Engineering principles and practices applicable to municipal public
works, including the design, construction, and maintenance requirements of public works projects; use of construction materials; provisions of the Public Contract Code,
Subdivision Map Act, construction safety regulations and other State and Federal regulations related to public works; the use of computers and automated devices for
managing information and other engineering applications.

Ability to: Supervise, manage and perform difficult and complex professional
engineering assignments; plan, layout, coordinate, and control through subordinates the
work of engineering design, review and inspection; comprehend and prepare complex
technical reports; establish cooperative and effective working relationships with
subordinates, employees, City officials, the general public, and other agencies; develop

License: Possession of a valid Certificate of Registration as a Civil Engineer issued by
the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers, or the ability to

reviewing plans, specifications, designs, estimates, and inspections relating to private

the Public Works Department; and to perform complex engineering design, construction

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of: Principles and practices of civil engineering design and construction;
principles and techniques of management and supervision including planning, organizing, and developing goals and objectives; principles and practices of design administration including computer aided design (CAD); theories, techniques, materials and equipment used in construction and maintenance of municipal Public Works improvements; legal issues, including liability laws, relating to municipal construction and civil engineering. Private development review/entitlement process and subdivision map act requirements.

Ability to: Demonstrate skill and/or acquire current knowledge in organizing, managing,

This Property Tax Specialist is a single classification in the Controller’s Office. The incumbent performs journey-level work in the processing and apportionment of secured and unsecured property taxes. Position Summary

 

Under the general direction of the Fleet and Facilities Manager, this position is responsible for planning, assigning, supervising, training, and assisting mechanics in the routine preventive maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems at Bus Transit facilities. This includes overseeing shop equipment, automated fueling systems, revenue fare collection equipment, passenger amenities, and signage.

The Chief Mechanic - Building Maintenance is a working position that combines the duties of the Mechanic - Building Maintenance classification with skilled supervisory responsibilities. These include supervising work crews, scheduling tasks, managing projects, and providing training and mentorship to subordinate employees. Additionally, the position is accountable for generating detailed written and electronic reports on facility and equipment conditions, documenting maintenance and repairs performed, and outlining ongoing maintenance needs.
