Primary responsibilities:

• Communicates with and responds to customer questions and inquiries in person, via e-mail, telephone, and the City's web-based communication system

PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER

Under general supervision, to perform a variety of assignments in the maintenance, repair, and construction of streets, landscaped areas, and drainage systems; and to do related work as required.   This is a full-time, non-exempt position.  The Town of Loomis offers an attractive compensation and benefits program. The current salary range for this position is $55,879.00– $67,921.00 annually; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and  experience.

The City of Thousand Oaks has an excellent opportunity for a motivated team player to provide analytical, technical assistance, planning, and project-level support to administer and enforce the City’s Cross Connection Control Program.  Additional responsibilities may include assistance with regulation tracking and reporting, and provide a variety of other programmatic support related to the City’s drinking water and pretreatment (wastewater) programs.

Under the direction of the Water Quality Supervisor in the Environmental Compliance Division, the Assistant/Associate Environmental Compliance Analyst (Analyst) plays a critical role in protecting the City’s drinking water supply. This position is primarily responsible for developing and administering the City’s Cross Connection Control Program while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

We are seeking a collaborative self-starter to handle a range of responsibilities with competence and professionalism. The Analyst should demonstrate discretion and independent judgment, possess strong organizational skills, and have a proven ability to meet strict deadlines. The role requires handling sensitive issues with care and having excellent communication and interpersonal skills while working with the public, regulators, other City departments and other municipal agencies.

With additional experience, the Analyst may also provide analytic, technical, programmatic, and administrative support to a broader range of responsibilities within the Environmental Compliance Division, including other drinking water-related regulations, stormwater quality compliance and wastewater pretreatment.

The position will be filled at the Assistant or Associate Analyst level, depending on relevant prior education and work experience.

Summary:
Under general supervision, coordinates, conducts and participates in the delivery of recreational program activities and executes day-to-day operations in assigned units according to established programs, schedules and standards; and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfac­torily. Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge, skill and/or ability listed below is qualifying.

Education/Experience: 
A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: graduation from high school or GED program, and at least 1,500 hours of relevant work experience, with at least 30 units completed in recreation or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Language Ability:
Ability to communicate effectively in English in both written and oral form. Ability to write routine correspondence using correct spelling and grammar.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Certificates and Licenses:

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This position may direct the activities of contract workers and volunteer staff.

The City of Colfax is currently accepting applications for Maintenance Worker I. This is an entry level position in the Public Works department requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience in a semi-skilled maintenance occupation. Typical duties include: landscape maintenance, electrical and plumbing repairs, minor construction and light carpentry projects, cleaning public restrooms, keeping public streets and parks clean and in good repair. The employee will check storm drains, culverts and ditches; operate tools and equipment to patch and repair pavement, construct and maintain gutters, sidewalks and other incidental improvements. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for managing complex capital improvement projects, conducting hydraulic studies, and performing advanced technical engineering tasks related to the planning, design, and construction of waterworks facilities.
