The Town of Truckee is seeking an experienced and collaborative Assistant Town Manager to play a vital role in implementing the Town Council’s priorities and advancing community-focused initiatives. Reporting directly to the Town Manager and serving as a key member of the Town’s executive leadership team, the Assistant Town Manager may also oversee other executive team members, depending on the selected candidate’s expertise.

Areas of oversight may include: economic development, housing, solid waste, sustainability, administrative services, clerking, records management, and the Town’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Awareness (IDEA) program. This role will work closely with the Town Manager and Town Council to develop innovative programs, enhance customer service, and guide strategic planning and policy development.

The City of Colfax is currently accepting applications for Maintenance Worker I. This is an entry level position in the Public Works department requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience in a semi-skilled maintenance occupation. Typical duties include: landscape maintenance, electrical and plumbing repairs, minor construction and light carpentry projects, cleaning public restrooms, keeping public streets and parks clean and in good repair. The employee will check storm drains, culverts and ditches; operate tools and equipment to patch and repair pavement, construct and maintain gutters, sidewalks and other incidental improvements. The ability to operate power tools and work safely, wearing appropriate PPE. Occasional maintenance will be required for the wastewater treatment plant and collection systems. SENIOR ENGINEER

The Salary range is $ 108,142.00—$131,448.00

Under the direction of the Town Engineer, this position performs professional civil engineering work related to the planning, design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of the Town of Loomis’ public infrastructure and capital improvement projects.  Responsibilities include preparing engineering plans and specifications, reviewing development proposals, managing projects, managing engineering records, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations, and providing technical assistance to other departments and the public. The Senior Engineer role includes supervisory responsibilities. May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays to attend meetings or respond to emergencies. May require after-hours on-call rotations.

Administrative Assistant

Under the direction of the Town Clerk, the Administrative Assistant performs a wide variety of administrative and clerical support for multiple Town departments, including Community Development, Public Works, and Engineering. Serving as the primary front-line contact at the Town of Loomis front desk, this position provides professional and courteous customer service to the public, Town staff, and outside agencies. Responsibilities include answering inquiries, processing permits and applications, maintaining records, performing routine office support functions, provide website maintenance and support and assisting with recurring customer service tasks to ensure efficient departmental operations. The role requires sound judgment in selecting appropriate procedures, conducting transactions with customers and the public, and resolving routine, and some non-routine, issues based on experience and established policies.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.  The Town of Loomis offers an attractive compensation and benefits program. The current salary range for this position is $57,767.00 – $71,432.00 annually; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and  experience.
