The Judicial Council of California is accepting applications for the position of Associate Fiscal Analyst for the Budget Services office.   

The Associate Fiscal Analyst plays a key role in developing and implementing the annual budget for California’s 58 trial courts. Responsibilities include: (1) gathering, verifying, and compiling court data to support budget creation, (2) processing payments for trial court reimbursement programs, and (3) preparing monthly distribution templates in the FI$Cal system to allocate operational funding. The Department of Public Works is accepting applications for the position of Public Works Technician I/II. Under general supervision, Public Works Technicians perform a variety of routine to journey level sub-professional technical, field, and office civil engineering work in a variety of technical areas.

The current vacant Public Works Technician I/II position is in the Road Operations - Permitting Section of the Road Services Division.

The Road Maintenance Division of County of San Mateo's Department of Public Works is responsible for routine and emergency repairs to over 315 miles of road surfaces, culverts, shoulders, drainage facilities, and roadside vegetation on roads within the public right-of-way of San Mateo County's unincorporated districts.

Public Works Technician I is the entry level class of this technical support series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn technical support and County procedures. As experience is gained, there is greater independence of action within established guidelines. This class is flexibly staffed with Public Works Technician II and incumbents are expected to advance to the higher level after gaining experience and demonstrating proficiency which meet the qualification of the higher-level class.

Public Works Technician II is the journey level class of this series, fully competent to independently perform a variety of responsible technical support duties. This class is distinguished from the Senior Engineering Aide class which is specialized in scope and technical functions.

The ideal candidate for this position has the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Familiarity and experience with permitting, plan review, or other technical clerical work
• Communicate effectively and work professionally with the public and co-workers. 
• Has field experience related to utility construction projects.
• Has experience in construction or inspection of construction projects
• Read and interpret engineering and architectural plans and regional maps. Understanding of construction terminology and standards.
• Organize workload and work independently in the field and office.

• Provide technical support to a public works field such as engineering, traffic, mapping, surveying, drafting, construction, or related technical support field.

• Sit, stand, and lift signs as needed for QA/QC.

Examples Of Duties:

 

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide information to the public and other governmental agencies, in person or over the telephone, regarding County procedures and regulations, facility locations, plan requirements and property ownership, which may require the interpretation of policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

 

Education and Experience:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:
 

• I level: High school diploma with mathematics courses.
• II level: Two years' experience in providing technical support to a related public works field such as engineering, drafting, construction, surveying or related technical support field.

The Fleet Services Specialist will often meet with Midpen staff in the district field offices.  Employees may work in the field and occasionally be exposed to loud noise levels, cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, or road hazards. Must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

This individual will provide Tier-3 technical assistance and leadership in helping establish a robust IT asset management and ticketing system to streamline the daily operations of a dynamic IT department.

What You’ll Be Doing
Definition
Under direction, the Senior Information Systems Analyst leads and participates in the work of staff responsible for providing technical and analytical support to VTA computer information systems and computer servers.

Distinguishing Characteristics
This is the advanced journey level in the Information Systems Analyst series.  Positions at this level are distinguished from other classes within the series by the level of responsibility assumed and the complexity of duties assigned. The Senior Information Systems Analyst performs project lead functions including assigning work, delegating assignments, and reviewing the work of others and keeping the supervisor updated.

Incumbents at this level perform the most difficult and responsible types of duties assigned to classes within this series including serving as a project lead over staff responsible for maintaining VTA's computer information systems and computer servers, researching and recommending new hardware and software components, and providing related support to the users.  Incumbents at this level are fully trained in all procedures related to assigned area of responsibility.

This class is distinguished from the higher-level classifications of Information Systems Supervisor and Technology Infrastructure Supervisor in that the supervisory classifications are responsible for full supervisory activities over a major section in the Technology Department.
 

Minimum Qualifications
Employment Standards
Sufficient training, education, and experience maintaining computer information systems and computer servers to demonstrate possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Development of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is typically obtained through a combination of training and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a four-year degree in computer science or a related field, and four (4) years of responsible experience performing technical and analytical tasks in support of computer information systems and computer servers. (Additional applicable experience with technical and analytical tasks in support of computer information systems and computer servers substitutes for college on a year for year basis.)

There is an option to work remotely on the working Fridays.

The City of San Bruno Fire Department offers an exciting opportunity to serve as a Fire Cadet. Our one-year Fire Cadet program is an unpaid, volunteer work experience program that offers hands-on training, and introductory knowledge of firefighting skills, fire service tools and equipment. Cadets respond to emergency calls, render Basic Life Support and participate in training, and participate in the daily station duties.

 

Cadets must be willing to commit to 24-hour shifts, two to four times per month. The cadet program is one year in length. Upon completion, this program meets the manipulative training and experience requirements in obtaining a California State Fire Marshal’s Office Firefighter II certification.

The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) is seeking a Risk Analyst to join our highly collaborative and dedicated team in advancing the Housing Authority’s risk management and insurance programs. The Risk Analyst will have the opportunity to expand their expertise in risk management, insurance programs, and property mitigation. They will also gain experience in policy development, analytical research, and strategic planning, providing a comprehensive approach to risk management. Key Responsibilities

San Mateo County Health is seeking a well-qualified individual for the position of Complex Care Program Manager. This high-level manager will plan, coordinate, implement and manage activities of County-wide programs and services; recommend, develop, implement and evaluate goals, objectives, policies and procedures; provide leadership and coordination to community groups, public and private agencies, advisory boards and volunteers in planning and implementing programs; and provide highly complex staff support to senior level management.

There is currently one regular, full-time vacancy within the Public Health, Policy & Planning Division located in South San Francisco, CA. This position will travel/drive within the County to perform duties of the job. 

Oversight of complex care programs includes:

• Bridges to Wellness: Program that provides care coordination services to individuals with complex needs including individuals experiencing multiple mental health and behavioral health co-morbidities, those who are unhoused or at risk of homelessness, and those who are at risk of avoidable hospitalizations and/or emergency department visits. 
• Homes for Health: Program to place medically fragile individuals experiencing homelessness into subsidized housing. 
• Housing for a Healthy California: Program designed to provide supportive housing opportunities for individuals experiencing homelessness or are recipients of or eligible for health care provided through the California Department of Health Care Services Medi-Cal program. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:  

• Plan, direct, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, services and programs for the care of individuals with complex care needs. 
• Direct, coordinate, and participate in the development and implementation of program goals, objectives, policies, procedures and priorities that balance both mandated services and public health needs.
• Ensure services are coordinated with programs of other County Health divisions and County departments.
• Maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of public and private organizations such as internal and external county divisions and departments, external government agencies, community-based organizations and private contractors.
• Conduct public relations to promote program goals, objectives and regulations.
• Establish, facilitate and maintain effective communication, internally and externally.
• Consult with management and medical staff on relevant program issues, develop alternative strategies for meeting public health needs and assist in the implementation of solutions as necessary.
• Identify operational and service delivery problems and implement solutions.
• Ensure client screening, monitoring, and tracking of service delivery.
• Ensure proper coding and billing for services. 
• Direct and assist in managing budget for programs and services.

• Ensure that programs are funded with adequate resources to maintain mandated and expected levels of service.

Through direct and indirect supervision, select, supervise, train and evaluate staff.
 

Ideal candidate will possess:

• At least three years’ experience overseeing programs or services for individuals with complex needs including those with substance use disorders, mental health challenges, chronic medical conditions as well as those that are unhoused utilizing a person-centered, recovery-oriented approach. 
• Experience in managing programs with multiple funding streams, including federal, state, and local grants.
• Experience implementing harm reduction principles throughout programmatic services.
• Ability to implement change management principles and practices.
• Experienced with analyzing and presenting data in ways that are easily understandable for a diverse array of audiences.
• Experience developing solicitations for services; developing, implementing, and monitoring contracts; as well as grant administration. 
• Ability to use critical thinking skills to draw upon knowledge base in order to address issues that arise within service delivery systems.
• Experience with compliance with documentation standards, Short-Doyle and/or Enhanced Care Management (ECM) documentation preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite applications including Excel, Power BI, SharePoint.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience as a manager, coach, and leader with a track record of supporting programs and staff and motivating teams with humility to achieve equitable goals and objectives.
• Experience working within a team consisting of licensed providers and non-licensed staff.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Participation in or leading the development of new water supply and conveyance projects, such as the Delta Conveyance Project and new storage projects.

Imported Water Unit (Position Code 132)
Valley Water Telework Program: Eligibility for telework will depend on the type of work performed, operational needs, and the ability for the employee to perform the essential functions of their job duties while teleworking. Employment with Valley Water requires employees to live within 150 miles of their primary physical work location located in San Jose, California by their start date. 

 

This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule, typically working 40% remote and 60% onsite.
