The Position

The Clinical Supervisor will provide clinical and administrative leadership to the Aging and Family Services Division. The mission of the Aging and Family Services Division is to foster a high quality of life for older adults through its Senior Support Services. The Senior Support Services employs a team of caring professionals from diverse backgrounds which include social workers, a public health nurse, counselors, and peers who will work closely with other department staff to provide cohesive wrap-around services for older adults and their families.

Examples of Job Duties

• Develop and maintain systems necessary to support effective and efficient Senior Support Programs. This includes the responsibilities of: supervising a multi-disciplinary team; monitoring contractual and billing procedures; electronic charting requirements; working with other providers and referral organizations; utilization review and methods for integrating the work of the Aging and Family Services Division and Human Services Department.
• Facilitate and support the work of a multi-disciplinary team in providing services to seniors with complex care needs and their caregivers.
• Oversee contract development, billing processes and service deliverables necessary to support the programs. Complete reports required by funding agencies and build strong working relationships with funding parties.

Salary:  $17.37 to $28.95/hour, non-benefitted position, DOE

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Facility duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Unlock and lock buildings for renters and programs.
• Be present and assist renters during events.
• Set up and breakdown tables and chairs for rentals and program classes.
• Maintain and keep facilities clean during and after events.
• Move furniture/equipment and return to appropriate storage areas after events.
• Assist renters with facility equipment usage.
• Clean sinks, counters, mirrors, stalls, floors, restrooms, and garbage disposal before and after rentals and program classes to ensure facilities are clean inside and outside.
• Performs duties within OSHA standards.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

Works under general supervision of the Facilities Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to relate well to the public.
• Be reliable and responsible.
• Inform renters of current facility policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate poise and good judgment.
• Work flexible hours including weekends or holidays.
• Move furniture and operate custodial equipment.
• Lift 50 pounds; carry 30 pounds.
• Follow oral and written directions.
• Work independently.
• Respond to emergency situations quickly and efficiently.

Desired experience:

Previous public contact experience desirable.  Knowledge of general custodial cleaning apparatus.

Education/Licenses:

High school graduate or equivalent.  Valid California Driver’s License required.

The City of Newark is looking to hire an Engineering Technician in the Public Works Department. We are seeking an eager, enthusiastic individual to join our team with a keen interest in public works projects, excited to get out in the field and an eye for design in the engineering space. 

The Engineering Technician I performs a variety of functions such as managing traffic signal and street light systems, including invoice processing, budget management, and conducting traffic studies. It also includes reviewing development plans for code compliance, issuing permits, and preparing written responses. Education:

• Possession of an Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university with major course work in engineering or a related field

Experience:

• Six (6) months of surveying, or other related civil engineering experience with a municipality, county government, or consulting firm under the general supervision of a civil engineer.

*Education may be substituted with experience on a year for year basis to a maximum of two years.

License or Certificates:

The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Advanced Practice Provider in the Health, Housing & Community Services Department! In this role, you will make assessments, provide treatment based on a patient's physical and psychosocial condition, provide patient counseling and guidance in the maintenance of health and the prevention of illness; and perform other related work as required.

In the Public Health Division, the Advanced Practice Provider provides health care at the Berkeley High School Health Center (BHSHC) and the City of Berkeley's Public Health Clinic. This position has overall responsibility for the delivery of clinical care and supports other clinical staff.

This is an hourly, part-time position working up to 19 hours per week. It is not a benefited position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is:

• Equivalent to graduation from a Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution approved by the Physician Assistant Board of California (PAB) and one year of clinical experience in a health-related occupation; OR
• Equivalent to completion of a graduate-level Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited institution approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). Completion of an approved preceptorship and appropriate academic training in an area of specialization covering extended roles in traditional nursing and must meet all other requirements as an advanced practice registered nurse as specified in standards by the California Board of Registered Nursing.

Education and training in specialty area appropriate to the clinical assignment are desirable.

Other requirements include:

• Must possess a valid and active license as a Registered Nurse and certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) or possess a valid and active license as a Physician Assistant by the Physician Assistant Board of California (PAB).

Fremont Police Department is the law enforcement agency for the City of Fremont, California. As of 2025, the department consists of over 300 staff, of which more than 200 are sworn personnel, and more than 100 are professional staff.  Fremont Police Department was first established under the direction of Chief Richard E. Condon on July 1, 1958. At that time, it was staffed by one Lieutenant, three Sergeants, two investigators, one juvenile officer, 17 patrol officers, a secretary, and a clerk. The Position

The Multipurpose Senior Service Program (MSSP) Case Manager will perform professional and clinical social work tasks and duties for older adults living with complex medical conditions to assist them to obtain optimum health, financial, and/or social services. As a member of the Human Services Department, this position reports to a Clinical Supervisor in the Aging and Family Services Division.

This is a regular, part-time position (32 hours/week) and will receive pro-rated benefits.

• Manage a caseload of 28-32 clients comprised of older individuals with complex medical conditions.

• Collaborate with team members, Human Services programs, and community agencies.

The Department

The Community Services Department plays a key role in enhancing the community and ensuring the citizens of Fremont receive excellent customer service through the management of recreation facilities, quality recreation and environmental programs, and park planning.

The Position

The Park Ranger/Naturalist will provide information and assistance to the public, as well as enforce laws, rules, regulations, and the Fremont Municipal Code. The primary focus of the position will be to assist with implementing the initiatives of the Homeless Task Force. Additionally, the incumbent may conduct natural resource protection and environmental education programs.

Examples of Job Duties

• Work in prescribed uniform and is responsible for general patrol and supervision of City of Fremont’s parks, plazas and trails.
• Interact and engage with unhoused populations on a daily basis, providing guidance and encouragement, enforcing laws and regulations and connecting community members with service providers.
• Perform homeless response strategies and mitigation efforts, such as posting notice to abate nuisance tags, collection on unattended property and removal of debris.
• Provide assistance and act as a liaison to the public, responding to questions concerning park and recreation facilities, programs, policies, and rules and regulations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and enforce the Fremont Municipal Code or other rules, regulations and ordinances pertaining to park operations within the City, including the issuance of citations.
