THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill one (1) full-time vacancy for the position of Psychiatric Technician I/II (Licensed) within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP) for the day shift. 

Tri-City’s MCCP operates 24/7 to provide crucial support in mobile crises. As such, the schedule will involve a 3/12 shift pattern, consisting of three twelve-hour days per workweek and one alternating eight-hour day every other week. Shifts may include weekends, daytime hours, and holidays.

This position will first work a 5/40 schedule for approximately 3-6 months of training before transitioning into the day shift schedule.

Examples of day shifts are included below:

• Day Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

Tri-City is looking for an individual to serve as a Psychiatric Technician I/II (Licensed) on a full-time basis for the MCCP. The MCCP Psychiatric Technician will be part of a team that provides crisis intervention and stabilization, linkage and referral, consultation, and education within the scope of practice. The MCCP Psychiatric Technician will report to the Mobile Crisis Care Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but are not limited to, the following:

Positions at the Psychiatric Technician I level may perform some of these duties and responsibilities in a learning capacity.

• Under the direction of clinical staff, provides medication management services to a caseload of clients in the office and in the field; ensures the proper acquisition and administration of medication.
   
• Provides education and training to clients, their families, and/or staff on the proper care and use of medications, including symptoms of, reactions to, or side effects of, specific medications; informs clients of the impact of abuse and/or misuse of medications.
   
• Conducts home/field visits to evaluate client’s physical environment and behavior such as anxiety, withdrawals, and behavioral health progression/regression.
   
• Takes and records measures of clients’ vital signs, physical condition, and behaviors; assists and observes clients self-dispense medication as prescribed by a psychiatrist and administers scheduled injections.
   
• Conducts medication checks on clients to assess their overall medication management capabilities; takes appropriate action if client poses danger with respect to the use or abuse of medication; observes, evaluates, records, and reports to professional staff changes in client’s condition.
   
• Motivates clients to develop self-reliance in daily living; encourages clients to participate in group and/or individual therapy/program activities.

MAINTENANCE WORKER (Full time)

Working in the Public Works Department, the Maintenance Worker I/II will perform a variety of unskilled, semiskilled and skilled light and heavy duty construction, maintenance and repair work involving public works, sewer and drainage systems, buildings, parking meters, and other facilities.

The position will be filled as a Maintenance Worker I/II based on the experience and qualifications of the candidate.

SALARY RANGE:
Maintenance Worker I/II – $3553.80 to $4,757.68 per month (wages effective 7/1/2025 per MOU).

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

Maintenance Worker I:  This is the entry level class in the maintenance worker series. Positions in this class normally perform a variety of unskilled and semi‑skilled maintenance tasks. Although trucks and other motorized equipment may be operated by a Maintenance Worker I, the equipment is used on a training basis or for tasks which are repetitious in nature. Under this training concept, positions assigned to the class of Maintenance Worker II which become vacant may reasonably be filled at the Maintenance Worker I level, with the understanding that reassignment to the Maintenance Worker II class may be expected following successful job performance and personal development.

Maintenance Worker II: This is the journey level in the maintenance worker series. Positions assigned to this class are expected to perform semi‑skilled and skilled public works maintenance activities and to operate light and moderately heavy power‑driven equipment on a continuing basis. All positions allocated to this class require that an incumbent be able to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative to fulfill assigned tasks. Maintenance Workers II may also be expected to assist in the supervision and training of less experienced personnel.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Perform a variety of maintenance work in the construction, maintenance and repair of streets, parks, sewers, storm drains, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, parking meters and other public facilities.
• Operate power‑driven equipment such as skip loaders, dump trucks, water trucks and fork lifts.
• Break out old concrete work such as curbs, sidewalks, and gutters.
• Cut and prepare streets for patches, spread premix and oil, and rake asphalt.
• Replace, repair, couple, test, and backfill sewer lines.
• Clean and maintain basic tools used on the job.
• Paint traffic directional markings, such as crosswalks and safety loading zones.
• Fabricate, install, repair and replace street signs.
• Operate heavy power‑driven equipment on a relief or training basis.
• Water, mow, weed, trim, renovate, and fertilize grass and other landscaped areas.
• Rake leaves, clean walks, fields, courts, and other facilities.
• Spade and otherwise prepare ground around plants and shrubs, including mixing and applying fertilizers.
• Plant, trim and/or remove trees, flowers, and shrubs. 
• Load trimmings on trucks for disposal.
• Pick up rubbish and litter materials and perform general grounds cleaning.
• Operate power mowers, edgers, sewer rodders, and other hand-operated and power tools in the performance of maintenance and repair activities.
• Drive vehicles as required and assist in routine care and upkeep of such vehicles.
• Assist in moving and installing park and recreational equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair sewer system mains, sprinkler systems, pipes and facilities.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair parking meter devices.

• Perform field-based and telephone emergency mental health evaluations and crisis stabilization in accordance with agency procedure;
   

• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals, groups, and families;
   

• Identify treatment needs and make appropriate referrals for necessary services;
   

• Assist clients and relatives with understanding behavioral health problems and their reaction to them;
   

• Work on a multidisciplinary team for crisis response.

Tri-City is now actively recruiting for a Clinical Supervisor I or II for the School Based Services Program within the Child & Family Clinic. The Clinical Supervisor I/II position will report to the Clinical Program Manager and will supervise Clinical Therapists.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Collaborate with Program Manager to provide appropriate staff placement based on the clinical needs of the patients and ensure delivery of quality patient care; monitor, maintain, and adjust staffing levels according to unit productivity and staffing goals; participate in data collection for unit based on quality assurance indicators

• Provide guidance to subordinates on Agency philosophy, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures through casework conferences, staff meetings, and work review; assist and participate in the development and coordination of in-service training and staff development programs.

• Coordinate, supervise, and direct the clinical, operational and program activities, inclusive of unit personnel, on a day-to-day basis to meet unit objectives.

• Provide direct services to clients under appropriate scope of practice.

• Make or review decisions on difficult client assessment and casework matters; supervise the timely and accurate submission of activity logs of assigned staff; and review caseload and task/needs reports for accuracy and timely changes.

•  Analyze existing caseloads and forecast resource needs.
