Reporting directly to the City Manager, this position is responsible for executive direction, strategic leadership, and management of the Public Works Department, including City maintenance workers and capital improvement projects.
This position will provide a variety of clerical duties required to assist veterans and their dependents in determining, applying for, and maintaining eligibility for benefits. The incumbent provides clerical support to the Veterans’ Services Officer. This position is full-time, and is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.
The Administrative Assistant will perform general clerical work and assist with the Construction Division administrative tasks.
This is a supportive role in the construction division with high use of various computer software, research, problem solving and communication skills for a person at an intermediate level. The work performed will support MRCA’s new construction operations, emergency projects, general improvements to parks, and other efforts related to public access, open space conservation, habitat restoration, and urban park development.
Upon successful completion of POST Academy, the position becomes a full-time probationary Police Officer position.
Under general supervision (Hydrologist I) to direction (Hydrologist II) performs collection and analysis of hydrologic and meteorological data in support of the Agency’s mission to provide reliable water supply for irrigation, groundwater management, flood control, and power generation; ensures minimum flow requirements to maintain water rights; and performs related duties, as assigned.

Under the direct supervision, performs a variety of difficult and complex professional officer and field engineering work; prepares plans, designs, and specifications for a variety of the Department of Public Works projects; reviews work prepared by outside consultants; prepares engineering reports; and performs related duties as assigned.
