The Public Works Maintenance Worker I/II/III position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled labor in the construction, maintenance and repair of County roads, bridges, and other related structures, and in various traffic control maintenance and  repair activities of the Public Works Agency; operates a variety of construction, maintenance and transportation equipment as necessary to complete daily tasks at the Glenn County Public Works Agency. The Public Works Maintenance Worker III position is the journey-level class in the series, and is distinguished from the Public Works Maintenance Worker II by the primary responsibility to operate heavy diesel and gasoline-powered construction equipment in the maintenance of roadways, drainage systems. 
 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepares roads for patch repairs, overlays, or chip seals; prepares mix for patching roads; repairs and reconstructs roads.
• Cleans roadsides and drainage systems; inspects and clears debris from drainage systems; conducts roadside burning as needed.

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Civil Engineer in the Public Works Division of the Community Development and Services Agency. Under limited supervision, the Senior Civil Engineer will perform the more difficult professional engineering work including the preparation of civil design plans for various Public Works projects, conducting research studies, performing field inspections and testing, analyzing reports, maps, drawings, or geological data, and procuring permits; act as a resource to staff, contracts, consultants, other agencies and the public regarding areas of assignment; provide lead direction and technical assistance to assigned staff and/or project management; and perform related work as assigned. Salary Range

The Assistant Director salary range is currently $178, 713.34 - $288, 700.62. Placement within this range will be dependent upon the qualifications and experience of the individual selected. This salary includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation. The salary is supplemented by an attractive benefits package. 

The Position

Reporting to the Director, the Assistant Director serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Environmental Services Department (ESD), overseeing a budget of approximately $550 million and seven direct reports.
