The City of San Rafael Library and Recreation Department is now accepting applications for the position of Facilities Attendant (Athletic Fields).    This position is responsible for supervision of athletic fields during assigned work hours while providing a positive and welcoming presence at the park.  The Facilities Attendant serves as an ambassador to park visitors, ensuring renters have access to their permitted spaces, unlocking soccer goals as needed, and promoting responsible use of the facility.  The Facilities Attendant also positively enforces park and field rules, encourages users to clean up after themselves, and helps to maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all.  Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Salary Range

The Assistant Director salary range is currently $178, 713.34 - $288, 700.62. Placement within this range will be dependent upon the qualifications and experience of the individual selected. The Position

Reporting to the Director, the Assistant Director serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Environmental Services Department (ESD), overseeing a budget of approximately $550 million and seven direct reports. The Position: Under general supervision, this position involves organizing, leading, and coordinating a variety of indoor and outdoor recreational and educational activities for an Afterschool Program. This role is classified as Temporary Part-Time to support both seasonal and year-round recreational programs.

On April 29, 2025, Suisun City Council approved a new contract between the Suisun City RPM Department and the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD). This agreement expands after school programming to include to grades TK-5 at Dan O. Root Elementary and Crescent Elementary Schools, making the Suisun City RPM Department the sole provider of after school services at both locations. This is a significant milestone for the RPM department and a reflection of the quality and dedication of our team.  We are excited to continue providing high-quality programs for our community's youth.
