San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Supervising Mental Health Clinician to lead the Older Adult System of Integrated Services (OASIS) team. As a Supervising Mental Health Clinician, you’ll oversee a dedicated, multidisciplinary team of clinicians, nurses, psychiatrists, peer specialists, interns and vocational rehabilitation trainees who deliver field-based, recovery-oriented care throughout San Mateo County. The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience supervising and leading multidisciplinary teams (licensed and unlicensed clinicians, psychiatry residents, nurses, peers, vocational trainees) and providing leadership in multicultural, multidisciplinary workforce environments.
• Experience working with diverse cultures, conducting community outreach, and applying trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approaches to treatment.
• Ability to process new and transfer cases, including entry-to-care and no-wrong-door policies.
• Experience collaborating with a wide range of older adult service partners, including residential care providers, healthcare and insurance entities, advocacy programs, social services, and community-based organizations.
• Experience supporting clients who receive services through programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to participate in interdisciplinary meetings and coordinate complex case conferences with medical and behavioral health providers.
• Experience conducting utilization review and contributing to quality improvement activities.
• Ability to use data to analyze service delivery and maintain accurate records for annual reporting.
• Experience planning and implementing clinical projects and coordinating/supervising master's-level trainees.
• Strong decision-making and crisis-management skills, with the ability to respond effectively to field-based crises.

The Supervising Mental Health Clinician is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Leadership, Supervision & Program Management

• Serve as Unit Supervisor, planning, assigning, training, and supervising interdisciplinary clinical staff, interns, and trainees.
• Complete annual evaluations and address personnel concerns.
• Plan, implement, and coordinate all unit activities and ensure program procedures comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Participate in administrative and leadership meetings to develop program plans and review operations.
• Maintain unit records, collect statistical data, and prepare annual program reports.
• Lead clinical meetings, coordinate complex case conferences, and ensure documentation is accurate and timely.
• Facilitate training programs for staff, resident psychiatrist, interns, and vocational rehabilitation trainees, including collaboration with the Human Services Agency on Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) trainee hiring, training, and supervision.
• Coordinate clinical resident rotations with the attending psychiatrist and residency director and collaborate with the OASIS medical director.

Clinical & Case-Related Duties

• Provide individual, couples, and family therapy; conduct diagnoses; and perform clinical case management when needed.
• Provide crisis services in the field, conduct screenings for new clients and families, and assist with discharge planning and follow-up care.
• Serve as liaison for hospitalized or residential clients and collaborate with conservators when applicable.
• Maintain client documentation consistent with state and division policies.
• Process new and transfer cases, including entry-to-care and no-wrong-door procedures.

Collaboration & Community Partnerships

• Collaborate with Adult Residential Facilities, Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE), assisted living facilities, and other older adult residential providers.
• Work with Health Plan of San Mateo, Ombudsman, Conservatorship, Rep Payee Services, Adult Day Programs, Institute on Aging, Bridges to Wellness, Upward Health, and other community providers serving older adults.
• Partner with Facilities Utilization Management, Aging and Disability Services, Adult Protective Services, Adult & Senior Programs and other service providers.
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings, including with Ron Robinson Senior Care and other assigned committees or workgroups.
• Collaborate with service providers supporting older adults connected with the Golden Gate Regional Center.

Program Operations

• Monitor and consult with contract providers to ensure compliance and resolve service issues.
• Provide both client-centered and program-centered consultation and community education to external agencies.
• Ensure coverage for Officer of the Day assignments.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification: Possession of a current California license in at least one of the following: Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapy.
 
Education and Experience:  Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is a Master's degree in a mental health specialty, such as social work, nursing, or clinical counseling and two years of professional post-graduate experience in a mental health setting.

• Maintains and repairs pumps, motors, plumbing, electrical, and exercise and lubricate machinery within the plant; records and maintains accurate maintenance records in a daily log book;

• Completes monthly work orders and enters information regarding maintenance tasks into the system; records SCADA; records hours on equipment and meters; makes entries into the end of the month report and prints work order summary;

• Performs cleanup of the plant, removing trash, washing down decks, and clearing leaves and branches from storm drains; cleans tools and makes sure equipment is in proper locations and power tools are in safe working condition;
• Changes oil and filters on various pumps and compressors in the plant; maintains safety inspections of fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, and ladders in the plant;
• Removes and replaces packing from various pumps in the plant; installs new rings of packing with new Lantern rings if damaged; applies grease to the new set of packing for proper lubrication; removes corrosion or debris from packing gland before reinstalling;
• Evaluates pump performance and flow rate to determine if pump has excessive buildup of rags that is affecting its performance and efficiency; shuts down pumps to remove rags from impeller and clears any obstructions;
• Replaces damaged parts/fittings on leaking chemical feed pumps; makes alterations to existing supply tubing or fittings, replacing clamps or O-rings, or removing debris caught in the check valves; inspects, tests, calibrates, adjusts, cleans, and paints equipment in the water pollution control plant; and
• Performs related duties as assigned.

JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of: Principles, practices, and techniques of the installation, maintenance, and repair of water treatment plan systems; operation of various hand and power tools; proper procedures to safely perform maintenance on machinery and equipment in the plant; maintenance for MP2 program; recording and updating repair history on water pollution control plant equipment; how to create new work orders and close out completed work orders; forklift operations and scissor lift; replacing, repairing, and installing piping, fittings, and valves on water pollution control equipment; data entry of important, vital information regarding maintenance repairs; performance and evaluation on future preventative maintenance in the WPCP MP2 program; proper protective equipment.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING GUIDELINES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Technical training in a water treatment plant system or related field is desirable.

Experience: One (1) year of full-time experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of pollution control plant and sewage pumping facilities.

Licenses: Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license, obtain and maintain a California Class B Driver’s License, and a satisfactory driving record. CWEA Certification as a Grade I Mechanical Technologist.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Respond to work at any hour of the day or night, within designated timeframe, as required during afterhours, weekend service, and/or emergency situations; carry communication equipment in order to respond after work hours. Vision, hearing, and physical ability adequate to obtain and maintain a California Class B Driver’s License; speak clearly and understandably. The City of San Bruno Public Library is currently recruiting for a part-time, temporary Library Assistant—Homework Center Supervisor. Under the direction of the Library Services Manager, the Library Assistant—Homework Center Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Library's after-school Homework Center, including classroom management, homework help, supervising and training volunteers, collaborating with library staff, and maintaining
accurate records of homework center attendance. The incumbent will be responsible for
maintaining a welcoming place for students to do their homework effectively within the larger context of the library, and for planning STEAM weekly activities and training/supervising students in the use of the 3-D printer. The Department of Public Works of the County of San Mateo is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant/Associate/Associate Civil Engineer. 
 
There is currently one vacancy in the Department of Public Works - Utilities and Watershed Protection Section. This recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies in Utilities and Watershed Protection Section.

Utilities and Watershed Protection
The Utilities and Watershed Protection Section oversees 30 Special Districts that include flood control, drainage, domestic water, sanitary sewer, and street lighting. The primary responsibilities of the position include the design and management of various capital improvement projects from the conceptual stage to construction close-out, supporting utility operations, monitoring of regulatory requirements, preparing reports and analysis, reviewing development plans, responding to public inquiries. Additional duties include assisting with the day-to-day operational tasks of administering these Districts.

Assistant Engineer is the entry or trainee level class of this series. Under immediate supervision employees perform first level professional civil engineering field and office work while acting in a trainee capacity in connection with the planning, design, construction and maintenance of a wide variety of civil engineering projects. This class is flexibly staffed with Associate Engineer and incumbents may advance to the higher level after gaining experience and demonstrating necessary proficiency.
 
Associate Engineer is the journey level job classification and is responsible for routine office or field projects. Employees are expected to be fully competent to independently perform a full range of duties requiring a high level of technical expertise, and some periodic supervisory responsibilities. Employees may also serve as a resident engineer on smaller, less complex construction projects.
 
Associate Civil Engineer is the registered journey level classification in the engineering series. At this level, a high degree of technical expertise and some periodic lead responsibilities are required. Under general supervision, incumbents may perform a variety of professional engineering tasks in such areas as planning, design, traffic engineering & operations and construction inspection of roads, park trails, bridges, drainage, sanitary sewer systems, water supply, and other public works projects. Associate Civil Engineers may provide lead direction to other staff in completing projects of greater difficulty and complexity. Incumbents will be required to perform field work in support of the planning, design, and/or construction inspection of public works projects.
 
NOTE: Assistant/Associate Civil Engineer differs from the Associate Engineer classification in that Associate Civil Engineers are registered as professional engineers in the State of California and may provide lead direction to other staff in completing projects of greater difficulty and complexity.

The salary range for Assistant Engineer is $100,318.40- $125,340.80 annually.
The salary range for Associate Engineer is $118,664.00- $148,324.80 annually.
The salary range for Associate Civil Engineer is $132,828.80- $166,025.60 annually.

• Technically knowledgeable and experienced in the principles and practices of civil engineering, public works design, construction, and/or maintenance.

Qualifications

Under general direction, the Public Works Supervisor assigned to the Parks Division provides leadership and direction in maintaining and enhancing the City’s parks, landscapes, and athletic fields. This position plans, schedules, assigns, and supervises the work of a dedicated crew of seven (7) full-time Maintenance Workers who help keep the City’s outdoor spaces safe, beautiful, and sustainable.

The Supervisor oversees the daily and seasonal maintenance of high-quality athletic fields, irrigation systems, and park facilities, ensuring they meet the needs of both recreational users and organized sports programs. This includes planning and managing turf renovation, field preparation, irrigation repair and upgrades, and plumbing maintenance throughout the City’s parks and landscaped areas.

Serving as the City Arborist, this individual plays a vital role in caring for public trees and vegetation, working closely with the Fire Department, community groups, and other departments to implement the City’s tree maintenance and vegetation management programs.

Other key responsibilities include overseeing and maintaining the City’s gateway areas, medians, demonstration gardens, and other high-visibility landscape features; ensuring the effective operation of irrigation and drainage systems; and supporting the preservation and enhancement of the City’s cherished Steps, Lanes, and Paths network.

As a working supervisor, this position combines hands-on technical knowledge with strong leadership and team-building skills. The Supervisor is responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing staff; fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and professional growth; and ensuring high standards of performance and service within the Parks Division.

The Position

Locksmiths work in the Facilities Maintenance and Operations Division of the Public Works Department and install, maintain, repair, and service all the locking devices in County Facilities/Buildings, San Mateo Medical Center, Maple Street Correctional Center, Hall of Justice, Maguire Correctional Facility, Youth Services Center, homeless shelters etc.

 

Duties of the Locksmith include but are not limited to: servicing, repairing, and maintaining locks, door closers, and related hardware; maintaining stock for replacement of lock units and parts; maintaining repair and maintenance records, key issues, and duplicate key schedules; picking jammed locks using special tools; devising and adjusting master key systems; and planning lock security systems for County facilities.

 

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience as a locksmith in a commercial, governmental, or industrial setting, with preferred experience in jail locks and electronic lock systems. Familiarity with ADA compliance related to door operators and sliding door mechanics is also preferred. We are seeking individuals from the local Bay Area who have an interest in working for local government and bring relevant government experience to the role.
