Share your passion by teaching students! Enrichment instructors lead a one hour class on-site after school. Enjoy the freedom to plan a curriculum on your area of expertise and share that knowledge with a class size of 5-15 students.

Recreation Leader I/II/III

Monthly Salary:
Recreation Leader I: $3,001-$3,648
Recreation Leader II: $3,392-$4,123
Recreation Leader III: $3,730-$4,535

The Recreation Specialist is a unique position that is primarily responsible for specific projects or long term projects requiring relevant knowledge and expertise.

The Waterpark EMT is responsible for responding to emergencies and providing efficient and immediate care to the critically ill/injured at Adventure Waterpark. In addition, The EMT provides security services as needed. The EMT is expected to work weekends and holidays on a regular basis.

• Functions within the scope of care as defined by state, regional, and local regulatory agencies
• Provide outstanding customer service while performing assigned duties, including interpreting and conveying information throughout the Waterpark
• Ability to open/maintain an airway, administer CPR, control hemorrhage, bandage wounds, immobilize extremities, administer oxygen, and other duties within the scope of practice
• Respond to emergencies in a timely and safe manner
• Recognize hazardous situations and contain area until help arrives

• Provide public security services during the course of the day and for Admin at closing
• Uphold all rules and regulations of the Waterpark

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years or older
• Possess E.M.T. certification with experience in the field, and submit verification upon hire

• Ability to establish and maintain productive relations and positive attitude with and toward others
• Possess good organizational skills and be able to multi-task
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
• Ability to secure and retain valid California driver's license

  • Must not be allergic to chlorine or other pool chemicals
  • Sit or stand for long periods of time (100% of assigned shift, and/or in excess of 10 hours)

The Newark Recreation and Community Services Department is looking for Pool Service Technician for our fantastic swim lesson and aquatic programs, to work at the Silliman Activity & Family Aquatic Center. We are looking for someone to perform a wide variety of duties related to maintaining the City’s Aquatics facilities, pools, water slides and property. Swimming experience is desired. Those that are successful in the application review will be invited to attend an interview either in person, or via ZOOM. Please note that this position requires you to work in an indoor aquatic environment subject to warm/humid temperatures.

• Applicants should be able to work at least 12-20 hours per week, year-round, including weekends and holidays, with mandatory trainings. 
• Please note that shift preference is not guaranteed and is based on the program's staffing needs and can change at any time. Please keep this in mind when/if you plan to attend school.
