Position Duties

The total salary range(s) for these classifications are:

Construction Inspector I: $78,514.80 - $95,659.20

Construction Inspector II: $ 88,866.96 - $108,217.20

Associate Construction Inspector $100,332.96 - $121,954.56

This range includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable pay. Actual salary shall be determined by the final candidates’ qualifications and experience. 

The Department of Public Works is currently seeking to fill one full-time vacancy in the Engineering Services Division.

The Associate Construction Inspectors assigned to the Construction Management Services-Utility (CMS-Fee) Section is responsible for technical inspection services to ensure compliance with City and State Standards and Specifications.   The CMS-Fee Section supports the work being performed by utility companies to construct public infrastructure that will be operated and maintained by the City including storm and sanitary facilities, streets, curb/gutter/sidewalk, street lights, traffic signals, etc.   Typical duties of an Associate Construction Inspector in this section include, but are not limited to, the following: 

• Reviews plans and specifications to determine proper testing requirements and standards. 
• Inspects methods and materials used in the construction of streets, alleys, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, storm drains, catch basins, driveways, approaches, culverts, sewers, landscaping, etc. for compliance with plans. 
• Inspects actual field construction from rough grading to finished paving of streets, including installation of storm and sanitary sewer systems, concrete structures, utility installations, street lights, traffic signal systems, etc. 
• Schedules final inspections and recommends acceptance of projects. 
• Determines the acceptability of materials, especially when there is a question of inferior quality, including researching and reviewing records, logs, and data of various kinds. 
• Ensures conformance to Cal/OSHA safety regulations, including shoring of trenches, proper use of equipment and machines, and adequate public traffic control. 
• Employees may be required to lift test equipment, tools and construction materials with the use of proper equipment. 
• Performs Public Works emergency duties, such as flood watch when required. 
• Investigate and respond to construction inquires/complaints from other departments or the public. 
• Be a mentee for Senior Construction Inspector and assigned to specific inspection area.
• Be available to work various shifts; day, nights and weekends.

The Position:

Silicon Valley Power is seeking an experienced and passionate Energy Conservation Specialist to join our team. Family Camp in Yosemite is located in the Sierras, about 10 miles west of Yosemite National Park. Family Camp is a summer recreational facility run by the City of San Jose. The camp serves 250-300 campers per day. The program is geared for families by providing lodging, meal service, recreation activities and retail operations.

NOTE: This position requires the Part-Time Unbenefited Cook to report onsite to the Family Camp Yosemite facility in Groveland, California. On-site living facilities are available during the peak season May-October. Schedule will be determined based on operational needs. 

Position and Duties

The Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services Department is currently seeking to fill one (1) Part-Time Unbenefited Cook vacancy at Family Camp in Yosemite.

Family Camp at Yosemite is a 51-acre all-inclusive Camp located in Groveland, California near Yosemite National Park where campers are served three meals a day plus snacks and beverages. The Part-Time Cook will be responsible for managing food service operations which include overseeing seasonal staff for kitchen support, menu planning, inventory budgeting, ordering, and control, coordinating with vendors, kitchen maintenance and cleaning, as well as meal preparation for guests and staff (up to 300 people per day).

The Salary range for this classification is $25.96 – $31.52 hourly.
This salary range includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation. Actual salary shall be determined by the final candidates’ qualifications and experience.

The Part-Time Unbenefited Cook will work seasonal from April through October with varying hours week to week based on the needs of Camp. Regular season operates May through August this position will work 40 hours a week during this time. The shoulder season (April- May & August to October) schedule will be based on operation needs and private group rentals. The ideal candidate will have experience cooking for a large number of guests, accommodating dietary restrictions and managing a commercial kitchen. 

General duties include training part-time food service employees, assigning work and providing direction; developing and maintaining relationships with work experience program volunteers; developing seasonal food and beverage menus; overseeing food preparation quality and safety; and developing and maintaining an attractive and consistent presentation. Additional duties may be assigned in accordance with facility management needs. Please be advised that this position will have a schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. Additionally, the position requires long periods of standing, walking, use of a hand-held radio and some lifting. 

• Ensure guests are provided with quality food and beverage items presented in a professional manner that achieves positive reviews and growing sales. 
Interact with park guests to identify, develop, and implement menu items that

Distinguishing Characteristics

The Principal Development Services Inspector classification is a single position classification allocated to the Development Services Division of the Department of Planning and Development.

Purchasing & Consultant Contracts Services Unit (Position Code 476)

Valley Water Telework Program: Eligibility for telework will depend on the type of work performed, operational needs, and the ability for the employee to perform the essential functions of their job duties while teleworking. Employment with Valley Water requires employees to live within 150 miles of their primary physical work location located in San Jose, California by their start date.

The Facility Attendant II also serves as on-site contact during evenings and weekends, assisting customers and part-time or contract staff. OVERVIEW 
The Judicial Council of California is accepting applications for the position of Construction Inspector with the Facilities Services office. 

The Construction Inspector is responsible for providing technical construction inspections of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related elements during construction or alteration of judicial branch buildings and facilities. Incumbents may direct the work of contracted staff, and/or may serve as specialists who work independently and deal with complex and/or sensitive projects relating to detailed technical inspections of construction materials, methods, and work quality, and monitor construction work for compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations. The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Educator committed to patient safety, equity, and the professional development of psychiatric nursing staff. This role supports Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) and Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Services through education, competency support, and collaboration to promote safe, evidence-based care.

There is one full-time position supporting both Psychiatric Emergency Services and Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Services.

The successful hire in this position will:

• Coordinate and maintain nursing education and competency documentation and participate in hospital and departmental committees related to nursing practice, quality, and patient safety.
• Collaborate with Department of Psychiatry leadership and frontline staff to support quality and safety initiatives aligned with regulatory and professional standards.
• Provide direct patient care as needed while supporting staff orientation, onboarding, and education within established role boundaries.
• Apply clinical experience in psychiatric emergency and inpatient settings to support education, consultation, and safe clinical practice.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, technical nursing, communication, and teaching skills.

The position includes approximately 20% direct patient care and 80% indirect care focused on education, competency support, and quality activities. Time allocation may vary based on operational needs; flexibility is required.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and psychiatric nursing skills.

• ANCC Psychiatric Nursing Certification.
• Associate Degree in Nursing with five (5) years of psychiatric nursing experience, OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with two (2) to five (5) years of psychiatric nursing experience, OR
• Master’s Degree in Nursing with two (2) years of psychiatric nursing experience.

Examples Of Duties

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Perform direct and indirect psychiatric nursing duties consistent with licensure, scope of practice, and operational needs.
• Support Nursing Education through orientation, onboarding, competency validation, and continuing education activities.
• Provide clinical education, consultation, and guidance to support safe, evidence-based patient care.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

• A California license as a Registered Nurse.
• Possession and maintenance of BLS certification.
• Possession and maintenance of a Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certificate within three months of hire.

Education and Experience:

• Associate Degree in Nursing with two years clinical experience including one year in a clinical specialty area, OR
• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or a health related field with one year of clinical experience including six months in a clinical specialty area, OR
• Masters degree in Nursing.
