OASIS is community field-based mental health services provided to older adults at their place of residence. This home visit services include medication evaluation and monitoring, individual counseling/therapy, and case management. This multiple discipline team with language capacity in English, Spanish, and Chinese, consists of Psychiatrists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists, a Community Mental Health Nurse, and a Peer Support Worker. Services are available to San Mateo County residents age 60 and over with issues of mobility and mental health conditions that impact their day-to-day functioning.  

Clinicians will use evidence-based approach to perform assessment, diagnosis, make medical necessity treatment plans, case management, individual therapy, and work with family members of clients' and other community providers for clients' mental health follow-up care needs. These interventions are provided in field setting or in clients' place of residence, and/or as needed to clients who are living in the community.

Clinicians are committed to providing medical necessity treatment that supports the clients' goals of independence and self-sufficiency with other service providers' support to continually live in the community with better quality of life. These positions embrace the challenge of providing simultaneous cooccurring treatment for both mental illness and substance use disorders in some cases; to work in an older adult outpatient setting as a member of a multidisciplinary team in collaboration and within the system of care.  

The ideal candidates will possess:  

• A current license as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family  
• Therapist, or are collecting hours to take the licensing exam;  
• Solid clinical treatment, assessment, diagnostic and evaluation skills;  
• Knowledge of principles, techniques and trends in counseling, psychotherapy, clinical case management, crisis management and various treatment modalities;
• Experience delivering services to adult and/or older adult consumers who have cooccurring behavioral health and substance use disorders;  
• Excellent documentation skills: progress notes, assessments, client care plans, etc.  
• Demonstrated expertise, skill and interest in working with a broad range of clients of diverse cultures and backgrounds, and an ability to provide culturally appropriate and proficient services  
• Skill in establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with families, coworkers, other professionals, collaborative partners and the public.  
• The ability to speak, read, and write fluently in both English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) is preferred. 

Minimum qualifications include: 

Licensure/Certification:  

• PSW I - current California registration as a Clinical Social Worker Associate (ASW).  
• MFT I - current California Registration as a Marriage and Family Therapist intern (IMF). Individuals hired in these classifications must become licensed within three years from the date of employment as a Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapist by the State of California. 
• PSW-II - current California license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).  
• MFT II - current California license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT). 

Education and Experience

San Mateo County Health is seeking an experienced individual for the position of Public Health Clinics Process Improvement Manager that plans, oversees, and provides a wide variety of administrative, analytical, and work-flow support on a County-wide level; analyzes practices and procedures and makes recommendations for organizational, operational, policy, and procedural improvements; conducts needs analysis, feasibility studies, and program evaluation for assigned projects and programs; develops, summarizes, and maintains administrative and fiscal records; fosters cooperative working relationships among County departments and acts as liaison with various community, public, and regulatory agencies; and performs related work as required.

There is currently one regular vacancy in the Public Health, Policy and Planning Division, located in San Mateo, but the position will include travel/driving throughout the county to perform duties of the job.

This management position will report to the Public Health Clinics Manager, overseeing Edison Clinics and Mobile Clinics and will have broad project management responsibility for key strategic efforts affecting the Public Health clinics, and will exercise direct and general supervision over assigned professional, technical, and office support staff.

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Quality assurance and improvement: build and visualize data in management reports and dashboards; convert data to information and use it to guide process improvement.
• Process improvement: facilitate, document, track, organize, and measure progress, e.g., conduct improvement work within daily huddles.
• Project management: lead projects and provide ad hoc support of projects.
• Knowledge management: inventory and maintain infrastructure of core programmatic documents and processes, how files are stored and shared.

• Revenue optimization support: oversee billing quality assurance and improvement, facilitate braided funding opportunities and oversight.
• Policy and procedures facilitation: maintain inventory and lead update processes through completion, including occasional initial literature reviews or research and coordination of stakeholders.
• Change management and leadership synchronization: coordinate staff engagement, training, feedback to ensure successful system changes, facilitate leadership development and decision making, contribute to agendas, take meeting minutes, track on-going project work in support of meeting goals.

Ideal candidate will possess:

• Experience with project management and process improvement as the lead.
• Knowledge and/or experience with: County of San Mateo; Public Health; healthcare clinics; vulnerable population care management including people experiencing homelessness; and HIV, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), and other Communicable Diseases.
• Data skills including requirements gathering; ad hoc report building; data and dashboard management.
• Knowledge of and/or experience with information technology systems including Power Business Intelligence (BI); advanced Excel; eClinical Works (eCW); ARIES; Microsoft SharePoint; Epic; Workday reporting.

Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, economics, planning, finance, or a related field, and five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional administrative and analytical experience in municipal government, including experience in budget, strategic planning, policy analysis, and organizational development.

Position Summary

Under general supervision, operates a variety of transit vehicles to transport passengers along specific, assigned routes according to the District's requirements. Provide service in a safe, courteous and reliable manner. Responsible for written reports and other information as required. Upon completion of the Golden Gate Transit Training Program, the employee operates regularly scheduled assignments. All runs will originate in either Santa Rosa, Novato or San Rafael.

Hourly Pay: $31.29/hour to $36.81/hour

 If selected for the position, new hires will need to complete Golden Gate Bridge, Highway & Transportation District’s Bus Operator Apprenticeship Program ($31.29/hr benefits not included) which is approximately twelve (12) weeks, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Upon successful completion of training, pay increase granted to $33.13 per hour, plus benefits. All new hires will be required to complete a 120 probationary period upon completion of training.

The Pacifica Police Department is responsible for all functions related to law enforcement and crime prevention and is made up of several divisions that carry out specialized duties to help the department perform as a cohesive whole. Those divisions are Field Services, Investigations, Communications and Records. The City of Pacifica Police Officers operate at the heart of the community, ensuring the safety of those who work, live, and visit the City. THE OPPORTUNITY

Under general supervision, Police Officers will patrol an assigned beat, protect life and property, prevent crime, maintain order, enforce laws, ordinances, and constitutional mandates, perform investigative work in detection of crime, perform public service tasks, and work varying hours and shifts.

Basic Examples of Duties

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Patrols an assigned area of the City by car, foot or as designated by the Police Chief, divisional commander or line supervisor.
• Maintains law and order, responds to emergencies as directed by radio and telephone.
• Investigates unusual or suspicious conditions, directs traffic, investigates traffic accidents, administers first aid, gives assistance to the injured.
• Makes arrests, serves subpoenas and warrants, guards prisoners, conducts interviews, notes and report unsafe conditions, prepares evidence and appears in court, searches for stolen property and lost persons.
• Gives information to the public regarding laws, ordinances, traffic safety, directions and available public services, issues citations to traffic violators, writes reports of daily activities and action taken.
• Investigates vice conditions, analyzes facts, clues and evidence and makes investigations to determine law violators and their whereabouts.
• Maintains effective working relationships with other law enforcement agencies, employees and the public.
• Operates the radio and other communication equipment, protects the life, property, public order and constitutional rights of all citizens.
• Adheres to the California Peace Officers Standards and Training Code of Ethics.
• Works varying hours and days of the week.
• May take on additional duties as requested, such as field training officer or instructor in one or more areas including, but not limited to firearms, defensive tactics, hostage negotiations and canine handling.

THE TRAINEE POSITION:

Is designed to attend a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST)-certified Basic Law Enforcement Academy and receive the academic and physical training resulting in graduation and certification required for appointment to the classification of Police Officer.

This classification is structured for the purpose of becoming a sworn police officer.  Police Officer Trainees are hired into this position for the period prior and during the time they are assigned to a POST-certified Basic Law Enforcement Academy.  Prior to performing a variety of professional law enforcement duties which include police patrol, investigation, traffic regulation, and related law enforcement activities. 

Upon successful completion of training at the academy and upon the availability of a Police Officer position, Police Officer Trainees will be sworn in and appointed to the classification of Police Officer at the beginning of the following pay period.  

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Attend a POST-certified Basic Law Enforcement Academy designed to provide an overview of the criminal justice system including knowledge of laws, police procedures, law enforcement techniques, first aid and physical fitness.

Receive training to develop an awareness of Police Department functions, as well as the responsibilities of Police Officers and how those responsibilities relate to field operations.

Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to:

Successfully complete a POST-Basic Law Enforcement Academy including classroom instruction, physical agility and use of firearms.

Learn proper police procedures and methods.

Observe accurately and remember names, faces, numbers, incidents and places.

Think and act quickly in emergencies and to judge situations and people accurately.

Understand and interpret laws and regulations.

Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive written reports.

Become proficient in self-defense techniques.

Become proficient in the care and use of firearms.

Follow oral and written instructions.

Deal courteously and effectively with the general public.

Experience and Training Guidelines:

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience:

None required.

Education and Training:

• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade (High School Diploma).  Completion of 30 semester units from an accredited college or university (60 units or more is preferred).
• Must show proof of passing the PELLETB test with a minimum T-Score of 48
• Successful completion of the WSTB test (physical agility). 

Licenses and Certificates:

Possession of and ability to maintain a valid California Driver’s License.

Necessary Special Qualifications:

• Free of any felony convictions.
• A citizen of the United States or a permanent resident alien who is eligible for and has applied for citizenship (Government Code Para. 1031).
• Age, not less than 21 years at time of appointment.
• Vision in each eye, correctable to at least 20/30.
• Must pass a background investigation.
• Meet all regulatory requirements for becoming a Peace Officer with a California P.O.S.T agency.

Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment:

Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, squat, stoop, reach, crawl, twist, climb, and lift 50 pounds:  exposure to cold, heat, extreme noise, outdoors, confining work space, electrical hazards,   chemicals, dust, toxic waste, mechanical hazards, and explosive materials.
